I’m still following the Olympics. It’s become my new routine. I wake up, check the medal count, watch several video highlights, and so on. The next thing I do is check the number of newly reported Covid cases in my county. Good grief! Are we there again?! Get vaccinated, people! PLEEEASE!! Anyway, since the Olympics is held in Tokyo, I thought it’s appropriate to serve this sushi tray for dinner. I didn’t make it. Sushi continues to be a challenge for me to master. So it’s best to rely on ... continue reading...

Fiesta Friday #391
I was glued to the TV. Weren’t you all? It was the Olympics and Women’s Gymnastics was on. Definitely one of my most favorite events, along with swimming. So much drama at the Olympics, right?! Real-life drama! Though it’s heartbreaking what’s happening with Simone Biles. She still is, and always will be the GOAT. Anyway, I just want to share my blueberry scones with you, that’s all. The recipe can be found here ... continue reading...

Even the most basic grilled cheeses will find a taker or two. But these ones here have provolone and turkey and are spiked with homemade pesto made with freshly harvested homegrown basil. It was a superbly simple and satisfying meal. Nomnom... What are YOU having for lunch? Or dinner? Or breakfast? Or midnight snack? These ... continue reading...
Fiesta Friday #388
Hey there, Fiesta Friends! It might seem to you that I'm somewhat absent from the blogosphere. What with not answering your comments and all. That's really inexcusable! I'll try my very best to do better, promise. The truth is I've been busy with the garden. Inspired by Gardener's World, I've been giving the garden a hard look, trying to figure out ways to improve it. It's looking a bit jungly at the moment. I kinda want a more wild flower-ey, meadow-ey look. My daughter teases me for having ... continue reading...
