Happy Friday, friends! Isn’t it revealing that the moment we decide to go maskless, all of a sudden people start getting sick? A number of students and staff members at my school have been sick this past week. And it’s not necessarily due to Covid, either. There are still the common cold, the flu, strep throat, and even seasonal allergies out there. I myself was feeling poorly last week after being exceptionally healthy for the past 2 years when we were mandated to wear a mask. Didn't even ... continue reading...

Fiesta Friday #424
Did everybody eat their fill of corned beef and cabbage? I think I did. Of course, I could’ve had more. It was enough, but there wasn’t much leftover to make the Reuben or to fill a sourdough bun, etc. So I may get another piece. By the time I come home from work, I only have a couple of hours to work with before the shadows of the night creep in. Natural light makes a huge ... continue reading...

Then another one on the apple ... continue reading...
Fiesta Friday #421
Yesterday I was putzing around the garden in shorts, no kidding! Today I have my thickest jacket, boots, and scarf on. WTH is going on?! The world is obviously in turmoil. Not just weather-wise, but on many fronts as well. The ongoing pandemic, though in some places has somewhat abated, leaves many local officials offering confusing and conflicting directives. Politically, the situation in Ukraine could not have moved in a worse direction. Listening to the news makes me feel uneasy. It's very ... continue reading...
