If you plant it, they will come ... The echinacea was barely in the ground for more than a day, and already it attracted this Monarch. It’s Sunseeker Echinacea bought from Lowe’s. I was pleasantly surprised that it’s fragrant. I didn’t think echinacea had any fragrance. None of the ones I planted previously had any. What else are they going to breed next? A fragrant cabbage? I’m still following the Olympics. It’s become my new routine. I wake up, check the medal count, watch several video highlights, and so on. The next thing I do is check the number of newly reported Covid cases in my county. Good grief! Are we there again?! Get vaccinated, people! PLEEEASE!! I was glued to the TV. Weren’t you all? It was the Olympics and Women’s Gymnastics was on. Definitely one of my most favorite events, along with swimming. So much drama at the Olympics, right?! Real-life drama! Though it’s heartbreaking what’s happening with Simone Biles. She still is, and always will be the GOAT. Blueberries are plentiful right now, and here in New Jersey, they’re cheap. That’s just dandy for me since I love blueberries. Especially in scones. American scones. So, it’s pronounced "skown" (rhymes with bone) rather than "skon" (rhymes with gone). At home, I sometimes like to say "skon" and wait for heads to turn in my direction, which will predictably be followed with an eye roll. ??
