I’d like to wish all Fiesta Friday moms an early Happy Mother’s Day! I hope your families spoil you rotten this weekend. You deserve it. I myself fully expect it. The spoiling. The brunch. The visit to the beach. Maybe even the leg massage. Hint, hint... And who am I hinting to, really?! The kids don’t read my blog. The husband does sometimes look at it, so maybe he can relay the hint. However, as far as he is concerned, I'm not supposed to expect anything. A long time ago he made it ... continue reading...

The backyard is starting to look pretty. Particularly the area that borders the neighbor. For years I've been battling the marauding bamboo that the previous neighbor had planted against our fence. But don't worry, I'm going food shopping as soon as I get out of work today to buy more supplies and I will recreate the killer quesadillas. Luckily for me, ... continue reading...

Just enough time to put something in the microwave. I did manage to make matzo ball soup earlier this week, though. Matzos were crazy cheap, like $1.99 for 5 lbs! I had to buy a box. What else can you make with matzos besides the soup? I suppose I can treat them like crackers and eat them with cheese, or use ... continue reading...
