It’s the day after Thanksgiving, what are you eating? Turkey sandwich? That sounds great. I’ll most likely have that later. Or maybe you’re eating turkey soup? That sounds good, too. Anything involving leftover Thanksgiving turkey is a must for today, I suppose. Though right now I'm all about the stuffing. I can't get enough! I made sure I baked extra so I can make stuffing waffles. To be eaten with a fried egg. Yum, yum! After my excellent brunch of stuffing waffles, I'll have a nice ... continue reading...

Fiesta Friday #459
One week from Thanksgiving and my fridge is bursting at the seams. There's a 20-pound frozen turkey in there. I never bought my turkey this early. It was usually purchased either a day or two before Thanksgiving if I were to do a fresh one. Or 4 to 5 days for a frozen one. Thanksgiving is just 2 weeks away, gasp! I feel the need to quicken my stride! Some people at work are saying that there may be a shortage of turkeys. Gosh, how can that be?! It is the World Series, after all. And if the Phillies win, there’ll be a parade. The husband is already threatening he’ll take a day off to go to the parade. I may join him, lol. Cause who wouldn’t want to see the Phillie Phanatic in person? I’ve actually met him once. He came to visit our local ... continue reading...

Fallen leaves are everywhere... They seem to particularly enjoy accumulating under the thorniest of bushes, where even the strongest electric blower is challenged in getting them out. Then there are those nail-biting decisions to make... Which plants should go in the greenhouse? Should they be moved now or later? ... continue reading...
