Fiesta Friday #465

2023 will be here in just a couple of days! Shocking, isn’t it?!

I’m looking forward to my annual “lucky foods” feast – in quotation marks because obviously, it’s just a superstition, which admittedly I mindlessly accept.

In reality, though, I truly enjoy a meal of collard greens and black-eyed peas so I’m more than willing and ready to chow down. Especially if they’re served with smothered pork. Mmm…

Not sure about my family, though. I know my daughter wouldn’t mind, but the menfolk are already hinting they’d like a redo of the Christmas dinner.

I am not repeating or redoing anything! I’ll just offer them a healthy dose of donuts, how’s that? They can’t possibly resist them. Donuts may be THE BEST lucky food there is, am I right?!

What lucky foods are you all having for New Year’s Day?

Now Take A Look At These:

Cranberry Ginger Ale Pound Cake

Cheese Shelled Tacos (Easy Keto Recipes To Kick Start Your Diet)

Old Fashioned Pineapple Casserole

Creamy Cheddar Bacon Dip

That’s a new tradition on me Angie! I’ve never heard of ‘lucky foods’ before! We don’t have that tradition here.?

Although, donuts always win any occasion! ?

Wishing you a great New Year!

We have many different New Year traditions here in the US, depending on your heritage or where you’re from. I am partial to donuts, of course, lol. Like you said, donuts for the win! ?

Who’s ready for Cinco de Mayo?! I am! 🙋🏻‍♀️ May I suggest celebrating it with this Pineapple Margarita Chicken Quesadilla? You gotta make that Pineapple Margarita first, though. Coz that’s the marinade for the chicken! As if I need to twist any arms. 🤣 The more margarita, the merrier, says people everywhere. 🍸🥳 Link in bio!
