Fiesta Friday #333

I hurt my right arm, which is my dominant arm, doing… something. I don’t even know exactly what, but I’m in pain. It’s most likely tendonitis from doing something repetitive. I’ve had it before.

So I’m thinking it’s possibly caused by productive activities like digging up weeds or chopping vegetables. That’s my guess. I do a lot of those.

The husband, on the other hand, thinks it’s from unproductive online gaming. Maybe so, but what else is there to do in your spare time?! You can only watch so much TV.

There will be no cooking or gardening for me, for a while. Luckily, the husband is pretty handy on the grill. Lately, most of our home-cooked meals look like this.

Grilled Meat and Vegetables

Quick, easy, and delicious!

And since I can’t do a whole lot this weekend, I shall host this fiesta on my own. But please volunteer to cohost in the weeks ahead.

Features from last week’s fiesta

Raspberry Cream Cheese Muffins

“Just yes Erin! Raspberries and cream cheese in a muffin with brown sugar? What’s not to love! I can’t wait to make these!” — Laurena

Grandmas Sweet Cherry Cobbler

“How delicious does this sound! Baked juicy cherries with a crispy cobbler topping. Oh my, Meaghan!” — Laurena

Easy Grilling Recipes To Try

“Aha! Something to show the husband, since he’s been doing the meal-planning, which is really just grilling stuff he finds in the fridge.” — Angie

Sweet Texas-Style BBQ Dry Rub Seasoning

“Aha again! More stuff to show the husband!” — Angie

Now, let’s party! Join Fiesta Friday #333 by adding your link(s). Don’t forget to link your post to FiestaFriday.net so you can be featured.

Does anybody want to cohost next week?

Oh Angie – I hope you’re arm gets better soon! Less gardening, more time to look around all the delicious Fiesta offerings! I’ve brought my easy vegan vegetable and tofu burgers this week which can go on the grill! We’ve been having barbecues most of this week until the thunderstorms came, but hopefully the sun will return for my birthday week! 😛 Rest that arm! xxx

It’s much better, thanks! I’ll take some of those thunderstorms, so I won’t need to water my plants ? It’s been so hot and humid here, the worst combination!

If you must have repetitive strain injury knit hot water bottle covers. The weather’s cooled down nicely where I am and lockdown has proved useful. If you have the need, I have one more left in me before my fingers pack it in.
PS Your husband knows his way around a barbecue. That dish looks nice.

Thanks for the suggestion and offer. I feel much better. Steroid injection took care of most of the pain. The rest should be manageable with rest and therapy. PS: The husband thanks you for the compliment!

Take care Angie, most of my injuries are from gardening…weeding hurts my hands and hoeing my shoulder, sigh. Advil helps as does taking a break.

I can’t host this coming Friday but I can either of the next two.

Your grill meal looks stupendous! Happy Father’s Day to your husband.

Advil did help! Why didn’t I know that; I started with Tylenol, then Motrin. They helped marginally, then finally I bought Advil. It worked so much better. But then the doctor gave me a steroid injection and now I’m Advil-free.

Would you take July 3rd? If yes, then you’ll be cohosting with Petra. Let me know. PS: My husband said thank you!

Who’s ready for Cinco de Mayo?! I am! 🙋🏻‍♀️ May I suggest celebrating it with this Pineapple Margarita Chicken Quesadilla? You gotta make that Pineapple Margarita first, though. Coz that’s the marinade for the chicken! As if I need to twist any arms. 🤣 The more margarita, the merrier, says people everywhere. 🍸🥳 Link in bio!
