Fiesta Friday #264

Did anybody else get snowed in on Wednesday? Wasn’t it nice?

I must say it was so nice to have to stay home with nowhere to go, and have your family there with you.

Everyone was forced to stay put and be with each other by Mother Nature, and I was thankful. There’s no better enforcer of family togetherness than Mother Nature. She understands; she’s a mother after all.

So, anyway, now it’s back to normal… back to work, back to school, back to the daily grind and all that. Thankfully, it’s Friday, and if it’s Friday it must be time for a Fiesta!

These are your favorite links from last week’s Fiesta

The Best Gluten Free Maple Shortbread from Kate @ Gluten Free Alchemist

Chocolate Banana Bread with Peanut Butter Swirl from Jas @ All That’s Jas

Mini Oreo Cheesecake for Two Recipe from Brandie @ Home Cooking Memories

Koeksisters – South African Doughnuts from Lathi @ Lathi’s Kitchen

8-Hour Roasted Lamb with Herb Pesto and Feta Cheese from MB @ Bourbon and Brown Sugar

***

Now, let’s party! Join Fiesta Friday #264 by adding your link. Don’t forget to link your post to FiestaFriday.net and the co-hosts’ blogs, so we can feature you. Your co-hosts this week are Mollie @ Frugal Hausfrau and moi.

If you’re new to Fiesta Friday, please read the guidelines.

If you’re interested in becoming a co-host, please leave me a message.

I was so impressed last week with Jas’s banana bread…and I still just want to sit and stare at it! As always, thank you, Angie, for bringing us together every week!

Me, too. I’ve made chocolate banana bread many times but never with peanut butter swirl, what a wonderful addition! And it’s my pleasure hosting the fiesta ?

Snow? You had snow? I want snow pictures then?! We finally had a bit of sunshine and temperatures up to 13c (55f) so finally I got to the allotment! Did you bake while you were snowed in? I love those featured South African doughnuts from Lathi – I’ve already added them to my bake list! 😀 Enjoy the Fiesta and thanks for co-hosting yourself (Thank you Mollie too)!

Yes, we had lots of snow! Enough to force schools to close. I have lots of snow pictures on the blog, Laurena. Here’s one: https://fiestafriday.net/2018/11/16/fiesta-friday-250/
That was how my backyard looked on Wednesday. I didn’t bake but I did make soup. Hopefully the photos turn out well. I was rushing and the soup was still steaming as I was clicking away!

I feel that way about lamb, too. I don’t want it everyday, but after not having it for a while I MUST have it! Luckily I’m within driving distance to this place that sells THE BEST lamb barbacoa! Omg, I wish I can make lamb barbacoa at home so I can have it everyday. And now I just contradicted myself ?? SO EXCITED to be cohosting with you! Yay!!

    Happy Fiesta Friday Angie!
I can’t believe you’re still getting snow! We’re moving pretty quickly towards spring here in Japan. Today it’s 55°F!
The features this week looks amazing! I’m especially drooling over that lamb haha.
Let me know if you need a cohost soon!

Last year we got a big storm 2 days into spring! But hopefully we saw the last of it this time. Punxsutawney Phil did predict an early spring ? Oh great, I still need a second cohost for Mar 8, 15, 22, and 29. So take your pick. Thank YOU!! ??

LOL I had to google who Punxsutawney Phil was!! I was expecting a punk rocker type guy in his 40s to show up but laughed when the groundhog popped up! I had no idea that groundhog had a name lol.
        I’ll take March 22!!

We had winds and power outages Angie. Now just as I thought March is here, I hear we will have sub zero temps in the Boston area…cannot wait for the real spring to show up!

I saw signs of spring in my garden today, daffodils sprouting, trees budding etc, but the roads are getting salted! The weather is just so crazy, and there are people still doubting climate change?! Beats me!

I was at the mall yesterday after a long long time and summer clothes are here already. I guess by the time the warm weather comes, I will only get fall or winter clothes 🙂
