Fiesta Friday #149

May I remind you that Christmas is just about two weeks away?! And what have you done?! ← ← Talking to myself, not to you.

Answer to myself → → I’ve been busy! I’ve been singing!

And so this is Christmas
And what have we done
Another year over
And a new one just begun

– by John Lennon

Can you believe that?! 2016 will evaporate, never to appear again, in a few weeks…how is that even possible?! ← ← Talking to you now. Please answer me.

Seriously. 2016 is the shortest year to date. Shorter than 2015, that I know for sure. I remember distinctly 2015 was two months longer. ← ← Can you confirm that?

Which doesn’t make sense if you ask me, since 2016 is a leap year, so technically it should be longer. By a full day! Oh, the things I can do in 24 hours!!

Anyway, this is just a reminder to myself, and to you, if you’re listening. A lot can be done in two weeks, right?! Please tell me I’m right.

Now, Features!

rosemary-nut-crackers

Rosemary Nut Crackers from Julianna @ Foodie on Board

“This is THE best! I should know since I can embarrassingly consume a horrendous amount of this in one sitting! You have no idea. And now I have the recipe, hehehe… Thanks, Juliana!” — Angie

Japanese Milk Bread Rolls from Mollie @ The Frugal Hausfrau

“I am a super-duper fan of dinner rolls! Everybody would agree with me when I say it was love at first sight because that’s what I felt when I saw Mollie’s dinner rolls. She nailed it! Her dinner rolls look so fluffy and soft. Absolutely perfect!” — Jhuls

“I’m obsessed with any kind of bread and these rolls look stunning, silky and fluffy. Perfect for breakfast!”– Linda

Mulled Apple Cider With Cranberries & Oranges from Anjana @ Happy & Harried

“Anjana’s drinks (and other recipes, too) always amaze me! They are always beautifully presented and the flavors are always exquisite!” — Jhuls

“Time for mulled apple cider, everyone! Anjana made it extra special and extra festive with cranberries and oranges!” — Angie

The Best Chili Recipe from Julie @ Hostess At Heart

“This really is the best chili ever. This is a marvelous version. Perfect for cool days and relaxing in front of the fireplace!” — Linda

Hi Angie! Did you not know time gets shorter as we get older? True! Nothing we can do about it! Except we get more efficient and better organised as we get older so we can get a lot more done. So you’ll get everything done in the next 2 weeks no problem!

Time flies as we get older it does seem so i always thought it was such a stupid comment to make when i was a kid! But it’s true!

Hows the doggie? I bet it’s exciting having your first Xmas with your furry new family member.

Those bread rolls look amazing, that was after i got to them having been blitzed by some advert that seems to cover your post, did you know that? I know sometimes you don’t get to see the adverts yourself that are on your blog.

big hugs and festive cheer, jxxx

No, I don’t see the ads!! Just a couple on the sides and one on the botttom, which I’ve permitted. There should be none on the header! That’s prime location but I didn’t allow it. For now at least. And I know sometimes they put a video right smack in the middle of the post but should be done sparingly. Thanks for letting me know! Skye is doing excellent! Getting more and more spoiled everyday though ?? I blame the husband totally!!

hey, yes it’s not on the header, but its right at the top of the post and pops up each time, blocks the view and wont allow you to skip it for four seconds which I know doesn’t sound like long but I am an ad hater lol. Down the sides I get but it’s a shame to have on your wonderful photos, but that’s just me saying 🙂 I am probably a minority…..I was looking at your photos of Skye on the side and noticing how there seemed to be some nice grooming going on there lol, I guess she is visiting the doggie hairdressers? 😀

I’m her private groomer ?? And yes, I get it about the ads. This was supposed to be an experiment suggested by a old blogging friend. I may revisit this since I don’t blog for financial rewards to begin with.

Hello Angie ☺ I’ve been so busy it seems like only last week I was co-hosting ?. I’m always having a quick read but never have any time to comment or join in… but I just had to this time! ? Two weeks is LOADS of time… that’s over 12,500 waking minutes ???allowing 8 hours sleep (in my dreams)! Make a list, prioritise, diarise them, cross them off as they’re done… then relax and enjoy! ?

My xmas spirit is a tiny little flame and any obstacle seems to blow it out, but I just keep forcing myself to go through the motions…I don’ want to have to go into full on decorating mode at the last minute just to take things down a week later, lol!!
