Oh Angie… if you only knew how many times I promise things to myself and at the end I am not able to do them for real because of my laziness…. Those hot cross buns look perfect, I am pretty sure they were unbelievably good!

    • Angie says:

I’m glad you understand ? It’s okay, whatever keeps us happy. That’s what I keep telling myself ? Thanks for the compliments. Have a great weekend ? Let me know if you want to cohost.

Those hot cross buns look perfect and nice photography too! Happy FF and a wonderful weekend to you!

    • Angie says:

You’re welcome! Homemade ice cream sounds amazing. And you don’t even need an ice cream machine? Which is perfect since mine broke ? Thanks for the compliments! Have a great weekend! ?

Love the hot cross buns! I have never made my own, one day!
Am so excited to co host with the lovely Lina, am off to prepare for the market and will re join later. Happy FF and have a great weekend 🙂 xx

    • Angie says:

They’re not too hard to make, just require patience and time, just like any other yeasty bread. I stuffed mine with cheesecake batter, that’s what makes them special ? Maybe I’ll make them again without the crosses. Thanks for cohosting! ?

      • petra08 says:

oh Angie, ha ha I never bake and a yeasty dough sounds enough to make me hesitate! I love the idea of the cheesecake batter in the buns, I think I will wait for the recipe! 🙂
My pleasure co hosting, thank you for letting me do it! Happy weekend 🙂

        • Angie says:

Yah, I know! That’s the problem with bread baking. And it’s even worse with sourdough. It can take days! I’ll gladly pay $5 for that sourdough boule, please, lol ? Kneading can be therapeutic, though ?

  9. Your buns look so good. Oh, wait that didn’t sound very PC. The pics of your hot cross buns look amazing. See that is better. :)) With your track record maybe you should start working on Mothers Day of Memorial Day. I think you will miss Cinco de Mayo.! :)))) Happy FF!

  10. Lily says:

Those do look like perfect buns. Hey, better late than never. Btw where did you get your backdrop? I love the soft blue texture.

    • Angie says:

Thanks,Lily! Maybe I’ll make the buns again without the crosses. And you prob are not going to believe it, but I painted the backdrop myself. Yup! Just some poster board and acrylic paints. I didn’t think it turned out that great at first but then in pictures it looks pretty good, right?

  11. Lynda Hardy says:

Your hot cross buns look delicious! Write it up and schedule it for next year and bask in the glory of being that far ahead! 😀

    • Angie says:

Haha, Lynda, I do like the way you think. You should see the number of drafts I have! But the problem is by the time I go back to them, I can’t remember what the heck I was doing! ?

  12. OMG Angie. You have the best buns. Simply the best. No-one has buns like yours. They’re tremendous. Do I remind you of anyone? Don’t worry, I won’t grab your buns, lol! It’s been a few months now so I can joke. A little, anyway. But seriously the buns are gorgeous!

And thanks, everyone, for clicking on my Cheese Zombies!! I just about died tonight when watching tv and saw that Little Caesers is featuring something that looks suspiciously like these Zombies. *sigh*

    • Angie says:

I have the best buns! The best! When I look at other buns, they’re all losers. I win bigly! Or big league, whatever… We can all joke about it now ?? And the cheese zombies, omg!! I feel so deprived I’ve never had them before! Same thing with pizza bombs. Why are there so many great things out there that haven’t crossed my path?

  13. Jhuls says:

These hot cross buns look so fab! I bet they taste amazing, too! Thanks for the party, Angie! Have a great weekend!?

    • Angie says:

They were pretty much the best buns I’ve ever made and eaten! Seriously! That’s why I was bummed I didn’t share the recipe in time.

  14. Beautiful hot cross buns! I want!!! ? Did you OD on them yet? ?

    Have a wonderful weekend, Angie!

  15. Sue says:

Those buns are truly perfect looking. I love the way you styled them too. Let me know if you need a host for any upcoming week Angie!

    • Angie says:

Oh hi there, stranger ? ? Yes, I need another cohost May 5 FF170 aka Cinco de Mayo Fiesta. It’d be great if you can do it. All the old friends will be happy to see you. I know I’m excited you’re back!
