Fiesta Friday #167

I am so busy I can cry.

I am not joking.

I just have way too many things to do. So many I don’t even have time to sit and make a list of them. And you know that’s no good. Lists are everything. If you don’t have lists, you’re headed for disasters.

I am not joking.

Anyway, if I can survive today, I can have my R&R tomorrow. We’ll be spending the weekend away at a B&B. Close to the son’s school. Why? Because…

And you may get your reward, too. For being you. I’m baking hot cross buns as we speak. Updated version! Very good! Something you may want to make for your Easter brunch.

If everything goes well, recipe will be ready for me to bring to the Fiesta.

Oh, btw, no cohosts this week. Just please be nice and view other links. We will be voting for favorites on Tuesday. And who wants to cohost next week and beyond? Please raise your hand!

Features

Two Kinds and Three Shapes of Ravioli from Petra @ Food Eat Love

“I am a sucker for ravioli, and Petra made 2 pastas and 2 fillings! Celeriac and Pink Peppercorn? Ah, yes please! It’s enough to make me run to the garage and find my pasta press!” — Mollie

“Petra’s imaginative approach to all things food never fails to impress: I can smell and taste the individual ingredients and the mind boggles at the combined flavours of these ravioli recipes!” — Ginger

Lavender Cake from Tânia @ Iwanttobeacook

“Guess what?! I just planted two more lavender bushes, even though I already had five. Can’t you tell I love lavender? But somehow I haven’t tried using it in cooking. That’s about to change. Starting with this cake! How pretty is this?!” — Angie

Ricotta Lemon Cake from Anjana @ Happy & Harried

“Anjana’s Lemon Ricotta Cake: such a simple recipe, yet so beautifully executed. It’s a cake that has sunshine written all over it!” — Ginger

Latin Roast Chicken from Linda @ Fabulous Fare Sisters

“It just breaks my heart that I can’t have some of that Latin Roast Chicken right now, this very instant! Can you imagine what a hero you’d look like bringing that to the table for friends and family?!” — Mollie

    Hi Angie,
I laughed at ” I don’t even have time to sit and make a list of them” as I can so relate! I really needed that laugh.I invited guests this evening too ….in addition to a packed weekend….what was I thinking? And now have this nasty head cold which makes me feel like I am walking around with a head that weighs a ton 🙂
Wishing you a relaxing weekend. Enjoy the holidays with your son.

    • Angie says

      April 14, 2017 at 11:49 am

I’m big on to do lists, usually, but this time I didn’t even have the chance to make one. All in my head! Prob forgetting a few things and not realizing it, but too late…we’re off. Sorry to hear abt the head cold. That’s the worst! My sympathy for you, girlfriend. Listen, try to take it easy. So what if things aren’t perfect. I’m trying to follow my own advice, too ?

      • Sandhya says

        April 15, 2017 at 10:21 am

You said it, Angie! My home wasn’t perfect and some of the meal was not home made when the guests arrived yesterday but so be it 🙂 We all had fun chatting and catching up.
I am big on lists too, so I can relate. I am learning to let go too and focus on what is most important.
Have fun! Have a great holiday!

Good for you making hot cross buns! I failed on that one this year, but did make some chocolate lollipops which I’ve brought along to the fiesta (late, I know, but made it!). Happy Easter to you all!

    • Angie says

      April 15, 2017 at 8:00 pm

The buns turned out so well! I’ve been trying to write the recipe so I can share in time for Easter but this place makes me so sleepy ? Oh well, a good recipe is good for any day, right? Chocolate lollipops sound incredible. I’d like to have some right now to keep me awake!

I somehow managed to post a carrot cupcake recipe… but not as early as I had hoped. Hope you’re having a restful Easter weekend! Can’t wait to try your hot cross buns recipe! I’ve never had a hot cross bun but everyone who’s had it seems to love it, so can’t wait to try!!
