Fiesta Friday #166

The hubs and I will be childless this weekend.

The son is away in college, and the daughter is going on a school trip.

This is a pretty rare event, for us to be free of childcare responsibilities for an entire weekend. And Monday, too, actually.

What should we do? Work on the various little projects around the house? Weed the yards? Go out on a date? Sleep for the entire weekend?

The possibilities are endless, hmm…

Or…I can always just hang out with you! I think that’s what I’ll do!

Features

Spring Greens Quiche from Colleen @ Faith, Hope, Love, & Luck

“Oh, how I adore quiche! And this is the prettiest quiche! Definitely perfect for a Spring brunch.” — Angie

Cherry Crumble Traybake from Ginger @ Ginger and Bread

“This is the perfect cake to enjoy on a lazy Sunday afternoon, full of tangy fruit, with a crunchy crumbly melt-in-your-mouth buttery topping” — Monika

Prosecco Pineapple Sorbet Floats from Kitty @ Vintage Kitty

“Sounds like a great and relaxing sorbet float for the after dinner cocktail crowd (or a brunch), with that pineapple providing both a sweet and a sour component. Beautiful photo, too.” — Diann

Moist Vanilla Cupcakes with Vanilla Bean Frosting from Lily @ Little Sweet Baker

“Vanilla fans will enjoy these gorgeous all vanilla cupcakes which are soft and, unlike other vanilla cupcake recipes, moist, never dry, as they are made with both milk and Greek yogurt.” — Monika

Well, I hope you got that starter started, Angie, for I’ve brought along a breadfest of the Easter variety that makes you forget Lent in an instant! Happy Fiesta Friday and have a wonderfully grown-up weekend!

I saw! And I like! Maybe that’s what I’ll do this weekend. Babysitting the starter. Harder than caring for kids, no doubt ? Thanks for cohosting!

Have you read Kolymski Heights? I absolutely loved it. Or The Vanishing Act of Esme Lennox, if you’re not into thrillers? So many books! So little time…

No, haven’t read either. Last book I read was Fantastic Beasts and where to find them. Only so I could keep up with the daughter, you know ? I was one of those crazy people camping outside the bookstore before a new Harry Potter book was released!
