I think everybody should give that sushi burger a try, Dini! Have you thought about opening a cafe and selling them? I’d be the first in line! πŸ˜€

What an amazing round up – again! And I am so excited to be co-hosting this week – thank you, Angie!!

  5. Seems our gardens specialize in the exact same thing Angie! Your allergies did not get in the way of selecting outstanding recipes from last week! Perfect!

Happppppppppppppy Friday Ang! You’ll be happy to hear about my latest milestone- we are starting our very first garden this year!!! I am BEYOND excited! My husband has a serious green thumb (and used to own a landscape company) so he’s doing most of the work for now but I can’t wait to get out there! And I’m especially excited for fresh vegetables! Last time I went to get a cucumber at the grocery store I smashed by new 2015 rogue into my husbands truck. It’ll be much safer when the cucumbers are in the backyard! πŸ˜‰ HAPPY FRIDAY! Good luck with those allergies, I get them bad too!

    • Angie says:

What?! Your husband owned a landscape company?! How lucky can a girl get! Your garden will be the envy of the neighborhood!! My husband on the other hand doesn’t know the difference between a flower and a weed. He pulled all my flowers and left me with the weeds!!
I feel so much better knowing you’ll be getting your cucumbers from your backyard, LOL!! πŸ˜€

I have been meaning to get to my terrace garden but am yet to get the soil. We went away for Spring break and are only just back. Gardening is very therapeutic but can be time consuming too.. Happy Fiesta Friday Angie!

    • Angie says:

I love gardening but find it much more challenging than cooking. Half the time I’m battling Mother Nature or wild animals. So many things you can’t control out there, unlike in the kitchen. That’s why I’m the novice gardener, haha… πŸ˜€

Yay! Thanks for the feature–it’s so exciting!
And please do come visit anytime (though particularly on a Friday) as I always need help with leftovers πŸ˜‰

  9. Loretta says:

Such a wonderful selection of posts from last week. They all deserve a huge round of applause. I hope your allergies don’t cause you too much discomfort Angie. Isn’t it fun to be out in the garden again though? I’m always in a happy place when I’m out there digging and finding worms and such. Roll on summer! πŸ™‚ Thanks for inviting me to co-host again πŸ™‚ It is always such a pleasure!

    • Angie says:

Yes, it’s a lot of fun to be out in the garden, actually. I find myself happiest and healthiest strangely when I’m outside even though I get allergies. They’re temporary, anyway. I feel fine later in the season. But I don’t like it when it’s too hot! I’m such a complainer! πŸ™‚ Thank YOU, Loretta, for co-hosting. I can’t keep Fiesta Friday going without help from my co-hosts!! XOXO

Thank you so much for the feature! It is amazing and I am so honoured! Fiesta Friday is the best foodie party and I love to see all the lovely foods and how it always inspires me, as well as making me soooo hungry! πŸ™‚ xx

    • Angie says:

You’re welcome, Petra! I do have a question for you. Do you keep an archive of your recipes? There must be enough there for a book, or at least an idea of a book. Most of your recipes are one-of-a-kind! You should seriously consider it! XOXO

        hi Angie
Thank you so much πŸ™‚ I have thought about it, I guess my problem is that I never stop long enough to think up a plan to make it happen but I will! Thank you so much for saying it, it gives me that positive kick I need and am glad you like the recipes πŸ™‚ xxx

Feel better soon, Angie! Great round up, as always! Happy Fiesta Friday! xxx

  12. I hear you on the allergies!! My eyes and nose won’t stop leaking lol!

    • Angie says:

Benadryl works for me. Actually Zyrtec works better, but every time I take it, I can’t wake up LOL! The best way to take care of them I hear is allergy shots, but I’m scared of needles! πŸ˜€

  13. oh sushi yummy and i cant believe how many entries are in here already woweee..faints!

    • Angie says:

I LOVE sushi, too! But I can’t make them to save my life, especially those rolled ones. But I got a sushi press. Haven’t tried it yet. We prefer to get our sushi the lazy way, from a sushi place five minutes away πŸ˜€

  14. A Home Cook says:

Sorry I’m so late everyone. It’s Saturday afternoon here, so I’ve brought some delicious strawberry focaccia for you all to enjoy as the post-party comedown!

    • Angie says:

Ooh…strawberry focaccia? That’s unusual but sounds wonderful! We eat bagels everyday. Maybe we can change things up a little and have this sweet focaccia instead! πŸ™‚
