Fiesta Friday #274

I have a million things to do, peeps! Seriously! Everything suddenly needs my attention, both outside and inside the house.

How is it that a house that looked relatively clean and livable this past winter has become rather dingy and unsatisfactory in the bright lights of soon-to-be summer? I wish I can dip my entire house into a pool of bright white paint!

But I have to learn to be patient, I guess. Home improvements don’t happen overnight. Aaarrgh!

Good thing there’s Cinco de Mayo to distract me. How are y’all celebrating? I’m planning to mark the occasion with a lamb barbacoa fiesta. How does that sound?

Features Time!

Cardamom Cream Cake from Jess @ Cooking Is My Sport

“Jess never fails to impress and her Cardamom Cream Bundt is no exception – unusual flavors and an unusual method makes this cake super moist and gorgeous!” — Mollie

“Such a pretty cake. It had me at cardamom….. then again at cream. Cardamom and Cream! Doesn’t that sound like a dreamy kind of pairing?” — Angie

Pink Rhubarb Ice Cream from Colleen @ Faith, Hope, Love & Luck

“I am just crazy mad about Colleen’s Pink Rhubarb Ice Cream and just want to dive into a bowl!” — Mollie

“Me, too! I might give this a try, since I have rhubarb growing in my garden. Though in my case, it’ll be green ice cream. Yup, I’m the unlucky gardener that grows green rhubarb, everyone.” — Angie

Mango Margarita from Erin @ Delightful E Made

“Oh, this looks so refreshing! Love that color; it’s like sunshine in a glass. Definitely will be making this to go with the barbacoa on Cinco de Mayo.” — Angie

French Pear Tart from Tamy @ Chasing My Life

“This French Pear Tart is calling my name. I love the homemade almond cream layer and a touch of Rum doesn’t hurt, either.” — Mollie

I think we see things in a different light when the weather gets nicer and there is more sunshine. I am also constantly overwhelmed by how much needs to be done all the time, but more so at this time of year. But it’s Friday so maybe I’ll chill with a glass wine later on:)

I think you’re right. I just want the inside to be just as bright as the outside! I’m hating all my dark wood furniture at the moment. I’ve been trying to transition to white, but some pieces are antique. What a dilemma ? I’ll join you for the glass of wine ?

It’s watching the pet hair float in the sunlight that gets to me, somehow I don’t see them in the winter months.

Oh, don’t talk to me about pet hair. I complain about it all the time and I swiffer the floors daily, sometimes several times a day! And I only have one dog, supposedly low-shedding. But we love her to death! Oh, well, I guess it’s not her fault she has so much hair to shed.

I know what you mean, Angie, I feel the same way about the house and garden! Thank you for finding the time to host another great party; I am bringing the last two items of my Cinco de Mayo menu (the other three in last week’s party) #14 Nacho’s Special with Five Layer Dip, and #15 Classic and Non-Alcoholic Margaritas. Have a great weekend and Cinco de Mayo Barbacoa Fiesta!

Thank goodness someone understands, phew… My husband is constantly perplexed why I always feel the need to clean again after he “supposedly” does it ? Thanks for participating in the fiesta!

Hi, Angie. I guess everybody is having a busy week, maybe even month????‍♀️ I am going to a friend’s wedding tonight and for sure, we’ll be coming home late or let’s say early in the morning. Aaaandd, work tomorrow.? I’ve used all my ‘tired’ for the next three days! I need a vacation! The the ‘sleep and eat’ kind of vacation for at least a week!?

I hope you get to finish everything you need to do, Angie. Happy Fiesta Friday and have a fab weekend!?
