Fiesta Friday #267

Spring is near, folks, I swear. Nothing much is happening as far as the plant world is concerned. Neither green shoots growing nor flower blossoms blooming can be detected anywhere yet.

But you can feel it in the air, I swear. You just know it. The sun feels closer, and everything is just a little brighter and lighter. And happier.

And with that, my attention turns to my seed collection. It’s too big of a collection! I hoard seeds, I swear! It’s a disease.

That’s what the husband said. My answer to that was: Better seeds than shoes! To which he had no reply. Good! I love winning an argument.

Now, look at these fabulous features:

Easter Chocolate Cake from Jenny @ Apply To Face Blog.

“Oh my, Jenny! Could this scream Easter any more?! ? How much chocolate in, and on that cake! ? I am so tempted to make this; my boys will think they died and went to heaven!” — Laurena

“Chocolate just makes everything better. Do you agree? Of course you do! Chocolate cake alone makes me very happy, but Jenny’s Easter Chocolate Cake made me happier. Look at those pretty and colorful Easter eggs.” — Jhuls

Raspberry & Nutella Bread Rolls from Kat @ The Baking Explorer

“Nutella and raspberries! Who doesn’t love the combination? And in bread rolls? Wow! Kat’s bread rolls with Nutella and raspberries would make a perfect match for your coffee. Mornings are better with these yummy rolls. I am sure of that!”– Jhuls

“Any type of bread is a winner with me, but chocolate and raspberry sounds so deliciously perfect! Look how pretty they are too! Well done, Kat!” — Laurena

Brioche Buns from Swati @ Food-Trails

“What delicious-looking brioche, Swati. I love that these are egg-free and I just want to pick one right off the screen to have with my coffee! Yumyum!” — Laurena

Lactation Cookies from Ai @ Ai Made It For You

“Lactation Cookies, say whaaa… Seriously, if these are not the next big thing, they should be. You heard it here first at Fiesta Friday, folks. Ai’s Lactation Cookies will soon sweep the nation. Available for purchase from Amazon.com and select Nordstrom stores, hehe…” — Angie

Oh! The party has started an hour early! I forgot you changed the clocks already (we’ll catch up soon)! Best I finish my post then! Great features! 😛 As if Jhuls and I both chose the same! 😀 I was very tempted by the cookies too but not being a lactater (is that a word?) I chose the chocolate instead! Have a fantastic week… sort those seeds out! 😛 x ps: there is pink blossom blowing everywhere in the wind here!

It’s as if you and Jhuls can read each other’s mind ? Honestly, I would have picked the same features, and I did! Pink blossoms? Cherry? Must be pretty there. We probably won’t get the cherry blossoms until April. Let’s just hope there won’t be any late frost!

Lactater – hahaha! That’s a new word that should be added to the dictionary! Great mind think alike! We should co-host together, Laurena. 😀

I am willing to sign up to co-host for May 24th which I think is a Friday…

I, too, am awaiting Spring. We should get to the mid 50’s F today, but it won’t make a good dent in snow melting just yet.

Okey doke, May 24 is yours. Thanks!! It went up to 60 yesterday, and I think it’ll be even warmer today but then it’ll go back to 40s again. I’m ok with that as long as there’s no more frost ?

But once you start, you can’t stop, lol. Anything unusual, I need to get. Most of them I have a hard time growing, ha! Like capers, for instance. I bought a big package of seeds (hundreds) and I got zero germination.

I just read that capers grow on a tree? is that right? Roses don’t germinate well from seeds. I tried that once.

No, capers are more like bushes, with very pretty flowers. If you let them bloom. The part we use in the kitchen are the immature flower buds, although I read that the leaves are supposedly edible as well.

I tried to have a healthy lunch of nuts and raisins but have managed to eat way more of both than I should and could still eat more as I keep reading the recipes and imagining what they will smell and taste like!
