Spring is near, folks, I swear. Nothing much is happening as far as the plant world is concerned. Neither green shoots growing nor flower blossoms blooming can be detected anywhere yet.
But you can feel it in the air, I swear. You just know it. The sun feels closer, and everything is just a little brighter and lighter. And happier.
And with that, my attention turns to my seed collection. It’s too big of a collection! I hoard seeds, I swear! It’s a disease.
That’s what the husband said. My answer to that was: Better seeds than shoes! To which he had no reply. Good! I love winning an argument.
Now, look at these fabulous features:
“Oh my, Jenny! Could this scream Easter any more?! ? How much chocolate in, and on that cake! ? I am so tempted to make this; my boys will think they died and went to heaven!” — Laurena
“Chocolate just makes everything better. Do you agree? Of course you do! Chocolate cake alone makes me very happy, but Jenny’s Easter Chocolate Cake made me happier. Look at those pretty and colorful Easter eggs.” — Jhuls
“Nutella and raspberries! Who doesn’t love the combination? And in bread rolls? Wow! Kat’s bread rolls with Nutella and raspberries would make a perfect match for your coffee. Mornings are better with these yummy rolls. I am sure of that!”– Jhuls
“Any type of bread is a winner with me, but chocolate and raspberry sounds so deliciously perfect! Look how pretty they are too! Well done, Kat!” — Laurena
“What delicious-looking brioche, Swati. I love that these are egg-free and I just want to pick one right off the screen to have with my coffee! Yumyum!” — Laurena
“Lactation Cookies, say whaaa… Seriously, if these are not the next big thing, they should be. You heard it here first at Fiesta Friday, folks. Ai’s Lactation Cookies will soon sweep the nation. Available for purchase from Amazon.com and select Nordstrom stores, hehe…” — Angie

Thanks so much for my feature. It made my son very happy too! Fabulous round up as usual. Loving all the yummy bakes. Thanks for hosting xx
Angie says
Aaw…so glad to hear we made your son happy. It’s a fabulous cake! ??
Life Diet Health says
Oh! The party has started an hour early! I forgot you changed the clocks already (we’ll catch up soon)! Best I finish my post then! Great features! 😛 As if Jhuls and I both chose the same! 😀 I was very tempted by the cookies too but not being a lactater (is that a word?) I chose the chocolate instead! Have a fantastic week… sort those seeds out! 😛 x ps: there is pink blossom blowing everywhere in the wind here!
Angie says
It’s as if you and Jhuls can read each other’s mind ? Honestly, I would have picked the same features, and I did! Pink blossoms? Cherry? Must be pretty there. We probably won’t get the cherry blossoms until April. Let’s just hope there won’t be any late frost!
Jhuls | The Not So Creative Cook says
Lactater – hahaha! That’s a new word that should be added to the dictionary! Great mind think alike! We should co-host together, Laurena. 😀
Of Goats and Greens says
I am willing to sign up to co-host for May 24th which I think is a Friday…
I, too, am awaiting Spring. We should get to the mid 50’s F today, but it won’t make a good dent in snow melting just yet.
Angie says
Okey doke, May 24 is yours. Thanks!! It went up to 60 yesterday, and I think it’ll be even warmer today but then it’ll go back to 40s again. I’m ok with that as long as there’s no more frost ?
Swati says
Thank you so much for featuring my Brioche Buns.. Glad to be a part of the fiesta party!!
Angie says
We’re glad you’re part of the Fiesta Friday Family, Swati. Your eggless brioche buns are definitely worth a try ??
Kat (The Baking Explorer) says
Thank you for featuring my Rapsberry & Nutella Bread Rolls! Although the photo looks very blurry?
Of Goats and Greens says
Kat your photo looked great. Highly enticing!
Angie says
I agree!
Angie says
I switched it with another photo from your post and I think it looks great! Wonderful bread rolls!
Kat (The Baking Explorer) says
Maybe it was just my computer screen! Thank you!
Rita says
Good to be back and with FiestaFriday after a long vacation. Do check out my Lentil Pie Pastry.
Angie says
Great to see you back, Rita! Lentil Pie sounds deliciously enticing, yum!
Antonia says
The features look amazing this week, Angie! Yay, spring! Have a wonderful weekend and Happy Fiesta Friday! I am looking forward to co-hosting this week!
Angie says
I second that, Antonia. Yay to spring!! 🙂 Thanks so much for cohosting. I hope you and your family are enjoying your weekend XOXO
Abbey says
We just planted hosta bulbs and they are already started to grow some and it’s so exciting!! Spring is definitely coming soon!
Angie says
It’s always exciting to see anything you plant grow. I think that’s why I garden, just to see things grow. I have a hard time actually harvesting the vegetables I grow! Thanks for cohosting, Abbey XOXO
kunstkitchen says
Seed collecting! I get it. I do that too. But just a little. Enjoy!
Angie says
But once you start, you can’t stop, lol. Anything unusual, I need to get. Most of them I have a hard time growing, ha! Like capers, for instance. I bought a big package of seeds (hundreds) and I got zero germination.
kunstkitchen says
I just read that capers grow on a tree? is that right? Roses don’t germinate well from seeds. I tried that once.
Angie says
No, capers are more like bushes, with very pretty flowers. If you let them bloom. The part we use in the kitchen are the immature flower buds, although I read that the leaves are supposedly edible as well.
kunstkitchen says
Oh yeah. Now I remember. do you live in a Mediterranean climate area?
Angie says
Not at all, I’m in New Jersey 🙂
kunstkitchen says
Okay. the Garden State, right?
Angie says
That’s right! Guess thats why I love to garden.
kunstkitchen says
LOL!
Mareliz says
Thank you so much for hosting another party. I brought a cake with Thai Mango. Have a great week ahead.

Angie says
A mango cake sounds delicious and refreshing, Mareliz. Thanks for bringing it to the fiesta!
Ai | Ai made it for you says
Thank you for featuring my lactation cookies, Angie! I baked another batch a couple days ago, this time with banana and chocolate chips. Told Tristan he can only have a couple cookies because I need to up my milk supply (mostly true 😉 lol).
Happy Fiesta Friday! And see you next week when I co-host! Yay!
Angie says
If only I knew about these lactation cookies back when. My poor firstborn only received 3 months of breastfeeding. I did better the second time around (about 11 months). Probably could have continued longer if I had these cookies ?
Angie says
And yes, looking forward to next week when you and Mollie @ Frugal Hausfrau will cohost!
Jhuls | The Not So Creative Cook says
There’s no such thing as too many seeds, right? Or shoes? Lol.
I’ll miss FF this week again – booo!!! But I’ll make sure I’ll bring something next week. I should bring something amazing. 😀 Anywaysss, I am going to visit some of our friends – I am hungry! 😀 Happy Fiesta Friday, Angie & have a lovely weekend! *kisses*
Angie says
I guess not, Jhuls. The more seeds or shoes, the merrier ?? I haven’t brought anything to the fiesta for I don’t know how long, I’m starting to feel guilty. I need to look through my drafts. Have a great weekend, Jhuls! ??
Monika Dabrowski says
It does feel like spring is coming, especially with these lovely Easter features! That easter egg cake looks gorgeous! I just published a new recipe and here it is. Have a nice weekend!
Angie says
Ooh, a new recipe… I shall take a look. Thanks for sharing it here. Enjoy your weekend, or what’s left of it ?
Petra says
Fiesta Friday is always my favorite way to kick off the weekend! Delicious features and posts, they are making me so hungry! I tried to have a healthy lunch of nuts and raisins but have managed to eat way more of both than I should and could still eat more as I keep reading the recipes and imagining what they will smell and taste like!
I hope your week is good! x
Angie says
I also have been trying to eat healthy, Petra. Lots of salads, fruits etc. But my husband and at times kids are so not cooperating!! They just bought Chic Fil A party trays, and fries of course. They know perfectly well that fries are my #1 weakness ?
Helen at the Lazy Gastronome says
Yeah!!! I made it this week! Thanks so much for hosting an awesome party – hope the rest of your week is amazing!
Angie says
Alright, Helen!! Glad you made it!! ??
