Fiesta Friday #194

The bewitching hour is getting nearer and nearer…

Are you ready, my pretties?!? Cackle, cackle…

Okay, really, in real life I’m not like the wicked witch. I’m actually a nice person. Honest!

Anyway, I’m ready for Halloween! Or at least my front door is!

halloween-front-door-2

And soon I’ll share some frightfully ghoulish treats with you… See, I’m the good witch, I share my treats!

Now, Features!

Sweet Potato and Pea Samosas from Caramel Tinted Life

“First thing I always order from the Indian restaurant are vegetable samosas. Oh, my goodness, do these look delicious! Great recipe!” —Suzanne

Gozleme (Turkish Phyllo Pancakes) from Turks Who Eat

“[These] cheese-filled Turkish pancakes sound like such a lovely snack, especially with some fresh vegetables. All those lovely crumbly layers of deliciousness…” — Ginger

Pumpkin Pie Cheesecake from The Baking Explorer

“I am in love with cheesecake, especially when it contains pumpkin. This looks irresistible!” —Suzanne

Pfitzauf (Popovers) – Swabian Dessert

“I am biased, obviously, but Lina’s Pfitzauf recipe made me almost cry with nostalgia. It’s a dish I grew up with, simple but delicious, that deserves more recognition.” —Ginger

It’s crazy how time flies. I took a nap yesterday while waiting for my flan to cool down so I could I unmold and take photos. When I woke up, the sun is almost setting, too. Ugh!

Hi Angie, your door looks so pretty! I miss the fabulous North American halloween decorations, here in the UK people put up decorations for 1-2 days, and very few do decorate anyway. But yours is super special, probably the best on your road! Have a good weekend:)

I have to. My neighborhood demands it ? It’s big here. People start decorating end of September! I actually have to start thinking about Christmas decor now. That’s another big holiday that people go all out for. Some of my neighbors hire professionals to install their lights. Thanks again for cohosting!
