Fiesta Friday #130

Greetings from Baltimore!

Uh huh, I’m out of town again. But this time it’s for an important event. The son is receiving a scholarship. Yay!!

We decided that we should attend the ceremony. It’s close enough that we can drive. And it would give the son an opportunity to speak in front of a crowd. It’ll be an exercise to boost self-confidence and to learn how to show gratitude, grace and humility, yadda yadda yadda… All that good stuff, you know.

But honestly, we also want to take a little break and of course… go for the Maryland blue crabs!

We’ll take an extended weekend here and hopefully when we go back home we’ll feel rejuvenated. And then hopefully… I can finally finish a recipe post, geez!

Now, Features!

image

Peach and Pistachio Tart
from Caroline @ Caroline’s Cooking

“Caroline’s tart made my peach cravings stronger. The tart was beautifully presented and I love that she included pistachio. I love everything in this tart.” — Jhuls

No Churn Strawberry Peach Ice Cream
from Andrea @ Cooking with a Wallflower

“What?! Did we miss National Ice Cream Day?! Darn it! Thankfully we didn’t miss this strawberry peach ice cream. And what?! No churn?! Love it!” — Angie & Colleen

Homemade Mascarpone Cheese
from Mollie @ The Frugal Hausfrau

“I love mascarpone cheese a lot, but I can’t find it all the time. I was amazed by Mollie’s homemade version. I can now make anything with mascarpone anytime I want. Yay! Cheesecakes!” — Jhuls

Karuveppillai Chutney Powder from Cooking From My Heart

“This is intriguing and unique. I’ve never seen curry leaves used in this manner before. I’ve definitely never heard of chutney powder. It’s worth trying!” — Angie
