Fiesta Friday #115

Oh, hey, guys! Isn’t this world beautiful?

Isn’t sunshine amazing? Aren’t trees incredible? And the sky and the clouds, aren’t they just unbelievable?

Oh, and the air! Isn’t the air awesome? When you can actually breathe it?

You’re talking to someone who spent a good part of this week completely stuffed up, unable to breathe, here. So, pardon my excitement. My over-excitement!

But as you know, when you do get healthy again, after being sick, you start to appreciate the little things in life. You feel the world is a miraculous place and you’re happy to be in it.

And by the way, speaking of not being able to breathe, when that happens, you might as well forget eating, right? They go together. Smelling and tasting.

So, since I wasn’t eating much when I wasn’t feeling well, I’m now famished. Bring me things to eat, guys! Let’s fiesta!

First, Features!

Chicken Katsu Sushi Burger from Dini @ The Flavor Bender

“Dini always brings one of the most enticing, mouth-watering foods! I always catch myself drooling whenever she arrives at the party with all the deliciousness. I love Japanese food and this Chicken Katsu Sushi Burger is something I know I’d really enjoy.” — Jhuls

Manicotti from Suzanne @ a pug in the kitchen

“How good does that look?! Freshly made manicotti, crepe-style! It sounds so special, like something that should be reserved for the holidays.” — Angie

Mexican Shrimp Cocktail from Melody @ Meals with Mel

“When I saw those pretty shrimp cocktails, the first thing I asked myself was “Can I fit one serving in my mouth all at once?” Then I realized that I don’t think that’s possible and most importantly, I have to eat slowly to savor every bite. They are just so good – the shrimps with the winner cocktail sauce! Deliciously awesome for a shrimp lover like me!” — Jhuls

Pomegranate Mojito from Naina @ Spice in the City

“I have a slight obsession with pomegranates. I can never resist them. And mojito is one of my most favorite cocktails. So this one is begging to be tried asap! Good thing I have lots of this weed called “mint” in my backyard.” — Angie

Thank you Angie for featuring my manicotti. Something really weird is going on, I don’t get notifications from FF anymore. I checked in settings and I am subscribed to instant notifications. I don’t know why this is happening. Any idea’s?

Try to unsubscribe, then subscribe again, see if that works. When I tried to subscribe you manually, I got a message that the email address has opted out of notifications. I can also bring it up with WP and see if they can help. Your manicotti made me hungry!! ??

Something is going on. I un subscribed and re subscribed and I didn’t see the confirmation email I decided to check junk and there it was along with hundreds of
Emails that were not delivered to my inbox. I am horrified and don’t know what to do as they are not junk.

i love the look of that super healthy looking burger. You know what I made a recent discovery to help colds, I took horseradish and garlic tablets. Normally my colds last 1 – 2 months and I get them twice a year, this time it was gone within a week, hey presto, bingo, can’t complain. i hope your’e feeling better now? xx

I do feel better, but the cough lingers and at night I feel so tired, so I might give those tablets a try. Thanks, Justine! I spent my entire day today shopping for clothes, then shopping for food, now I’m pooped ??

Sounds exhausting. I think the horseradish and garlic work for early stages when it’s at the top end ie sinus etc. When it gets further down on not sure that’s the bit that always gets me. Rest and some sea air! Though you can’t buy that in a bottle x
