Fiesta Friday #73

Just three more days of work and then I’m free!! Forever!! Well, not forever, just until September. Then I’ll have to go back to work.

But it would seem like forever that first day of summer break. And then watch, I’ll start wasting the days. You know… I’ll be lying like broccoli, moving like a sloth and occupying the couch like a potato…

Hey, rest & relaxation is underrated these days! Everybody is always in such a rush! It’s a national preoccupation.

Not for me! I value deeply my R & R. It’s very important to wake up and smell the coffee, you know. I mean it. I literally have to spend a few minutes each day smelling coffee. You know those bags that your coffee comes in? I save them so I can smell them. It relaxes me, don’t judge!

But enough about me and my lazy ways. It’s time to shine your shoes, slick your hair, put on your best frocks or duds and come to Fiesta Friday! And fiesta with your co-hosts, Michelle @Giraffes Can Bake and Juju @ cookingwithauntjuju.

But first we look at these exceptional posts from last week’s fiesta:

Bailey Wedding Pie Pops from Anna @ thelittlebluemixer

“I am floored by the variety of pie-pops Anna made and each one looks so lovely! I can’t decide which flavor I like best :D” — Naina

“I have to second Naina! I want them all! These pie pop wedding favors are such a wonderful idea. And how beautiful do they look the way they’re displayed? When I get married, I want pie pops as my wedding favors! Oh, wait, I’m already married and I already had a wedding. Darn!” — Angie

“I thought this was incredibly inventive by Anna. Great story and pictures. I need to try and make these…” — Quinn

Caramelised White Chocolate and Macadamia Ice Cream from Michelle @Giraffes Can Bake

“This looks fantastic and perfect for summer. [The pictures] are awesome. Wish I could [taste this]”. — Quinn

“Michelle has created something fantastic here! The caramelized white chocolate, the nuts, the chocolate chips… so naughty, so gooooood!” — Naina

“There’s definitely something wrong with me. I just came back from Friendly’s and I had my usual 3-scoops for dessert and I looked at this and wanted it badly! I’m either an ice cream glutton or Michelle’s ice cream is just too irresistible. I think the latter, or both! This just sounds so, so yum!!” — Angie

Small Space Photography from Ginger @ Ginger&Bread

“I think if my kitchen was seen during some of my shoots the food police would come and arrest me. When I am making blog food, which is most of time, I am usually trying to get the same dish on the table for my wife and 3 kids to eat. The kitchen is a disaster. But it is amazing what you can hide. [This is a] very informative and helpful blog post [filled with awesome photography tips] by Ginger.” — Quinn

“I love this kind of posts, where bloggers share their dirty little secrets. I’ve always been curious how other bloggers solve problems I seem to have no solutions to, one of them being how to photograph amidst all the mess in the kitchen. Looks like I need to invest in background screens! Thanks for showing us how it’s done, Ginger! ” — Angie

Chocolate and Banana Rolls from KitchenSpells

“Are these delicious or what! Who wouldn’t like to wake up to a breakfast like this! The edible flowers are a lovely touch.” — Naina

“I thought the addition of bananas in these rolls is just a terrific idea. How many times do we have overripe bananas we have no clue what to do with! There’s only so much banana bread or smoothie you can have! A chocolate & banana breakfast rolls sound like the perfect solution to me.” — Angie
