Howdy, y’all! I’m in Texas right now, yee-haw!
As they say, everything is bigger here in Texas. I think I just saw a mosquito the size of a bee.
And the weather? It’s big, too. Like 101 degrees big. It’s HOT, HOT, HOT!
But hey, at least I’ll be dining on a 22 oz. steak. That’s right, the steaks here are humongous, oh em gee…
Big and bold, that pretty much sums up Texas. Take it or leave it, y’all!
And now it’s time to fiesta again. And just because I’m away doesn’t mean you can’t party hearty, y’hear? In fact, I want to see y’all get wild! Show me how it’s done. Visit and chat with each other. Joke around. Tease one another. You know, have fun! Time to party down, people!
Now, Features!
Voting for last fiesta’s features was highly successful; a lot of you came out to vote. Good for you! Make sure you do the same come November, ok? For those of you who are American citizens ????
But, guys! I can’t feature myself on my own blog! Thanks, though, to all who voted for my link. I really appreciate the love… I love you back!

Got it, Su! Note to self – Don’t eat too much ? To be honest I’m more thirsty than hungry over here; it’s so hot!
Enjoy Texas, Angie! I love this line up! 🙂
Thanks, Deb! Everything looks amazing, doesn’t it?
Hey Angie, I hope you enjoy Texas! Have a steak for me, but maybe something a bit smaller? Thanks so much for featuring my dish! I do appreciate it so much! Happy Fiesta Friday, y’all! 😉
Aye, aye, ma’am! No 22 oz. steak, lol! Your hummus sounds and looks so lovely. I’m going to try to make it, just need to get smoked almonds ??
Delish features!! Have a great time in Texas and keep cool 🙂
Thanks, Sarah! I’m trying to, but everywhere is just too hot! How in the world are these folks still walking around outdoors?! ?
Boozy Popsicles! Yeah I’ll have some please.
Have a fun western vacation, Angie. That steak would last me a month… (The popsicles would be gone in a day… but then it’s really hot here too.) Hugs!
Thanks, Teagan! They sound so refreshing, don’t they? Seriously I’m thinking of them right now and my mouth is watering! They’d be gone in minutes if I had them in front of me ??
Thanks everyone for voting for my Milk Bread! What a fun surprise to see it here! Angie, you have a great time in Tx!! I bet you wish you had some of Suzanne’s Boozy Popsicles!!
Mollie
Ooh…those Popsicles would have been most welcome right now; it’s so dang hot!! That milk bread is definitely a keeper, Mollie. I’m saving it; I have a feeling most people are too. ??
🙂
Have a ‘chill’ weekend. Hoping this week’s black square fixes itself. Maybe I should change my name to Malevich!
I’ll fix it as soon as I get back to the hotel, Hilda. Still driving around right now. So hot here!! But good is good and people are nice, that’s all that matters, right? ?
Hi Angie, have a lot of fun and enjoy your vacation! 🙂
Thanks, Linda! And wonderful weekend to you, girlfriend! ?
Great recipes from creative cooks.
Ditto! ?
I hope you have a good time in Texas Angie!
State bird: Mockingbird
State plant: Prickly pear cactus
State mammal (small): Nine banded armadillo
State snack: Chips and salsa
State party: Republican (I made that one up)
State nickname: The Lone Star State ( Some may argue it’s named after the beer)
Thanks for the info, Gerard! I think I just found the excuse to load up on chips and salsa while I’m here ??
You should totally feature yourself if that’s how the vote comes out! Enjoy Texas – don’t think I could do that heat (well, I have before and wasn’t a huge fan!)
Just doesn’t seem right ?? Anyway, it’s hot and sticky here and I complain and complain about it but we’re still having fun so far. Food is good! ??
What delicious looking features! Eee, just how have I managed to miss out on so much delicious fiesta food (like those blueberry cream cheese doughnuts!?!!) the past couple months?
Enjoy the sunny Texas weather Angie! Speaking of big things, when my friend was attending a conference in Texas, there was a steak buffet one night for all the attendees (needless to say, she enjoyed herself)…!
Hey, Laurie! Where you been, girl?! Busy, huh? Which means you must be having fun ? I hope not too much or else you’ll start forgetting FF ?All I can say about Texas is that I won’t mess with it! ??
Haha sounds like you’ve enjoyed Texas 🙂 I could never forget FF… especially when it is always so much fun here! 🙂
Yummy! I want to have one!
Just one? But you can have two ? Thanks for stopping by!
