Fiesta Friday #128

This is turning out to be one hectic Summer for me, phew! I thought I’d have more time to myself and to blog, but it hasn’t exactly panned out.

I just came back last night, folks. Late, late night. And already I’ll have to repack my suitcase for another trip.

This time to take my son to his new student orientation.

But at least I’ll be driving. I’m just not a fan of airports. More accurately, sitting and waiting at airports.

Anyway, I’m bringing back voting for features, folks. I just simply didn’t have the time to organize for cohosts this week. I lost track of time completely. Traveling will do that to you.

But voting was fun, wasn’t it? And to those who missed it the last time, here’s your chance to participate.

I’m looking for volunteers to cohost next week, though. Please let me know. The first two people to do so will be it! So who’s it gonna be?

Now, Features!

Graham Tiramisu
from Jhuls @ The Not So Creative Cook

“I love the substitution of graham crackers for lady fingers here. The combination of the graham cracker flavor with strong coffee sounds just AMAZING.” — Jess

“A winner! Need I say more?” — Angie

Churma Laadoo
from Sandhya @ Indfused

“I love this recipe. I call it the Indian answer to cake pops. A delicious snack for kids and adults alike. Sandhya has given us a wonderful take on a classic Indian treat.” — Suzanne

“This is so unusual. In a wonderful way. Easy, nutritious, and delicious! What more can you ask?” — Angie

Ottolenghi’s Tomato & Pomegranate Salad
from Josette @ thebrookcook

“I love everything from Ottolenghi and Josette’s adaptation of this great salad makes for a delicious and beautiful seasonal salad. I love everything about it but especially impressive is Josette’s Za’atar. Amazing.” — Suzanne

Sweet Potato Bhajji (Chickpea Flour Battered Sweet Potato Fritters)
from Anjana @ Happy and Harried

“I love sweet potatoes and I love a good fritter. These are both. FTW.” — Jess

Thanks for that! I do sometimes feel guilty for not updating the blog as much I would like, so it feels good to have someone who understands ? I’m hoping by next week I’ll have some free time, though, but then of course we’ll be at the height of summer when it’s so hot you won’t feel like cooking! Can’t win, lol! I’ll figure it out some day, Julianna! XOXO

beautiful features, they look absolutely delicious! It sounds like you are busy! I actually love airports, somehow I see it as me time and it is a given place to actually read a book! But this was when I travelled alone most of the time for business! Let me know if you need another co host for next week! 🙂 xx

I enjoyed traveling much more when I was younger; I must be getting old, boo hoo… But I do want to expose my kids to different places, cultures, etc. My parents did that to me and it’s made me open-minded. At least I think I am ? If you can, I would love to have you cohost FF130 July 29 with Judi. Not next Friday, but the week after. Please let me know. XOXO

Great features – not sure which one to try first. It has been a couple of months and I would be happy to co-host when you need one. I love driving trips more than flying – for me it is relaxing and a good way to see the sites. Enjoy your weekend – your son must be off to college this fall 🙂

The son will be off to college next month; I’m not sure he’s ready. By that I mean I’M NOT ready, lol! They all grow up so fast! So, can you take FF130 July 29? Not next Friday, but the week after? Most likely with Petra. Please let me know and thanks for volunteering! XOXO
