Fall is arguably the busiest time of the year for a gardener. That’s me, I’m a gardener. Ergo, I’m busy.
The lawn somehow grows even faster and more lush at this time of year, needing mowing more often, but that’s the husband’s job, or the son’s when he feels particularly helpful.
Then there’s always fallen leaves to rake or blow, but that’s also the husband’s job.
For someone who’s NOT a gardener, the husband sure is busy as well 😂
I do need to do a lot of cleanup, though.
The greenhouse is starting to sport algae here and there so I need to go in there and sanitize everything everywhere.
Then I have to prepare plants to be moved either into the clean greenhouse or the house.
And I have to prune bushes and deadhead flowering plants.
And I have to divide and transplant perennials, pull out leggy or overgrown annuals.
And I have to mulch bare spots… the list goes on.
See, I’m busy. Ergo, this was dinner last night.
Instant ramen doesn’t often make an appearance at our dinner table, but when it does, it better be loaded with at least 2 types each of protein and vegetables.
And six and a half-minute eggs. Not six, not seven… six and a half, okay?! 😂
And Now, This!

Wow! You are indeed a busy woman – goodluck with the gardening. And what’s the size of the eggs you used for your ramen, Angie? For the six and a half minute eggs?😂
Angie says
Thanks! Use large eggs, start counting the minutes as soon as you put them in the boiling water. After 6 1/2 minutes, take them out and immediately plunge into a bowl of icy water. Perfect soft-boiled every time! Thanks for cohosting! 🫶
