Hi, Fiesta Friends! Aren’t you happy it’s Friday?!
Did it feel like a long week to you? It sure felt that way to me. Does anybody know what country has a four-day workweek? Let’s move there! I personally think there would be more happy people in the world if four-day workweeks were universal. Don’t you think?
Oh, well, we can only hope and dream…
Anyway, at least there’s Valentine’s Day to look forward to. That’s when the husband pretends to care. By buying me presents and being nice. Okay, just kidding! I’m sure he truly cares, ahem. And he’s generally nice most of the time. Except when he’s not. That’s when I pretend not to care, and leave him alone.
But I’m sure none of that will happen on Valentine’s Day. We can only hope and dream…
Now take a look at these:
“Well, this week Jess really wowed me with her Snickers Cookie Bars! I mean what’s not to love about a whole pan of Snickers flavours and texture! Let’s face it, you eat a Snickers and it’s done, but with this recipe the Snickers go on for a whole week… well maybe a day if you are sharing with your friends… or not! What a great post, Jess!” — Julianna
“These cookie bars are rich, tempting, and I bet the taste is out of this world. My favorite candy bar turned into a dessert, wow!” —Antonia
“This recipe got me so excited with all of the gooey goodness oozing out between two pieces of grilled bread! What a clever way to use up leftover chili! It got me mind reeling about all the combinations I could make with other kinds of chili, and cheese and varieties of bread! Wow, what a bounty!” — Julianna
“This cake looks heavenly and the presentation is superb. I adore lemon desserts and can’t wait to make this cake. Yum!” Antonia
“I love the idea of making my own Chai. The tea looks so comforting and tempting. I love the picture of all the ingredients steeping together, I can’t wait to try this out!” — Antonia

Done – at last! And right in time for Valentine’s Day … Fortunately we had holidays this week, and next week will be a shortish one, too, as two days are training days 😉
Have a lovely weekend, Angie!
Angie says
Hurray! I’m trying to finish a Valentine’s Day post, too. Hopefully this weekend I’ll get it done. If not, there’s always next year ?
Petra says
I just had the comment “seriously Valentines?!” I didn’t mention that I already got a card, that is about how romantic I get but funny!
I hope you get the flowers, something special and perhaps a little bubbly 🙂
Happy weekend! xx
Angie says
You know how it is with all these holidays, they get bigger each year. Valentine’s Day is major nowadays. Each year there’ll be more flowers, more candy, more everything, everywhere ? Very hard for the husband to forget, so I’m pretty sure I’ll get my share of flowers and candy ?

Angie says
Howdy cohost! So nice of you to cohost with me ? Lucky you to have Fridays off, but not so lucky to have 6-day work weeks I guess. But like you said it’s time to partay now so only happy thoughts allowed! ?

Valentine’s day never had much appeal for me but I do love the desserts that come all pretty in pink. I made one myself yesterday! Strawberry and white chocolate. The kids devoured most of it as usual, I managed to snatch 2 of these creamy balls for myself… Enjoy your weekend:)
Angie says
Ooh… strawberry and white chocolate balls sound divine. I actually looked for strawberries today but my store was out of them. I couldn’t believe it! I guess everybody bought strawberries today. I’ll try again tomorrow. Then maybe I can make the balls ?

From the start of Feb, my kids are so excited about Valentine’s day. They are so excited about the cards and gifts and party they are going to have in their school and on seeing that I’m surprised that until 14 yrs of age I didn’t even know about Valentines day ..lol
Angie says
That’s how it is in our school, too. The kids have been crafting their loot bag/box for the card/gift exchange and yes there will be parties as well. It’s fun to see them so happy ?

Thanks all, for your comments on the Chai post. It is the tea that really works for body aches, headaches and cold flu relief.
