Thank goodness for fall break!
Just when I thought I could no longer go on, I get the much-needed break. Oh yeah! Fist pump, everybody! I’m being dramatic, of course, but truly, this is one of the best reasons to work for a school.
You get more days off than another person with a typical 9 to 5 job. Not to mention the biggest break of all, summer break!
The fall break is short, just a mere couple days off, but that’s enough for me to recharge my batteries, so to speak.
Hopefully, I’ll go back to work next week feeling refreshed and ready to take on the world!
BTW, I’m still looking for cohosts for November 16, which is next week!
Now, take a look at these yummies!
“You can’t eat just apple and pumpkin desserts – we need a little chocolate too. I make chocolate chunk cookies so I know I would love Jhuls’ chocolate chunk muffins as well. Nice size chunks of chocolate scattered throughout her muffins where you get an extra big taste of chocolate with just about every bite. Sprinkles on top are a nice contrast to the chocolate and make a nice colorful finish !” — Judi
“Chocolate muffins mean I get to eat chocolate for breakfast, and I’m ok with that! Plus these pretty sprinkles put a smile on my face.” — Alex
“One of my favorite parts of sharing recipes at Fiesta Friday is learning about new dishes. I had never heard of this meal before, but it sounds absolutely wonderful and I really want to try it now!” — Alex
“I really enjoy Asian food and Mollie’s choice is exceptional. I’m not familiar with this dish (or Vietnamese cuisine) but it sure is going on my “to make” list! Marinated beef, lots of onions and crispy potatoes are smothered in a lovely sauce. The crispy “potato chips” on top were a surprise but Mollie has persuaded me how delicious they are!” — Judi
“I use puff pastry often during the holidays especially for appetizers such as this. Jessa chose apple smoked ham, Gruyère and a surprise ingredient, artichokes. This combination sounds perfect and I can’t wait to try it…” — Judi
“I totally agree that cranberry sauce should be homemade, and if you’re adding tequila to it who can argue otherwise!?” — Alex

Thanks again for the lovely feature! May your Thanksgiving be filled with lots of homemade cranberry sauce…and tequila of course!!!
Perfect recipe for the bottles of tequila we seem to inadvertently collect from trips to Mexico ?
Fiesta Friday #249
Yummy!
Thanks, Rita! Btw, I wasn’t able to leave comments on your posts. The spinning arrow/wheel kept going.
Whoa!! This is amazing!! (That’s with the voice of Princess Anna from Frozen)??? Thanks a million for choosing my muffins!! Thanks to Aunt Juju and Alex, too!! Wohooo!!???
Hmm, about the break… yeah, it’s not the same when you are working from 9-5 and I have only Friday off! Boooo!!! I might look for another job… in school! I am glad that you enjoyed your break, Angie and you hav recharged your batteries. Have an amazing weekend!?
PS: I can co-host on Nov 16.?
You’re on for Nov 16, Jhuls! Thank you!! Can you try and twist someone’s arm to be your cohost ? I mean I’m here, of course, but it’s always better to have a third person to help us select features.
Having only one day off a week is brutal, Jhuls. I feel your pain ☹️ Maybe take a sick day, cough cough… ?
Hmm, I will try and be good at twisting arms. Think, think!??
I might do the ‘cough, cough’ thing one of these days.?
Great news, Jhuls! Found you a cohost! Jenny @ Apply to Face Blog. She’s a hoot! you’ll have lots of fun with her.
Thank you for hosting. I brought one of my favorite food back home. Have a great weekend.
Thanks, MarEliz! ?
Hi guys, and thanks for the feature of my Beef & Potatoes! Judi, I’m glad I convinced, you, lol! I do go on sometimes! Hope everyone has a great weekend!
Mollie
Your beef & potatoes reminded me of a Vietnamese beef (no potatoes) post I wrote a few years back and never published. I just looked at it and OMG the photos are horrible! No wonder I never published it.
Angie, I think you must be a perfectionist and it shows with every photo I’ve ever seen of yours. You are AMAZING! I bet, too that your worst photo tops my best photo any day of the week! I am awed by your talent!!
Oh Mollie, you’re too kind, and too modest. I’ve been told that before, about being a perfectionist, but since I blog mostly for my own enjoyment (at least for now) I want to make sure I satisfy my biggest client, myself. It sounds ridiculous, but it’s accurate ?
You would make a great politician Mollie 🙂
I want to make those pastry twists you featured this minute; and I’m volunteering for December 21st to co-host as I won’t be with the family over the Christmas holiday.
Great, on both counts! Tell us what you think of the twists and thanks for the Dec 21. Your fellow cohost is Jhuls @ The Novice Gardener ?
Great! Already ready for holiday making and great recipes here. Thanks, All for your efforts.
Thanks, Cat! I’m getting excited for the holidays, too! 😀
I can co-host this Friday if no one else has volunteered 🙂
Thanks so much for the offer, Judi. We do have Jhuls, and Jenny is staying on for another week, but I wouldn’t be opposed to a third cohost. Shall we give that a try? The more the merrier!
Let’s do it, Judi! The more i think about it, the more I like it. I think it’ll be fun!
Count me in Angie – co-hosting with Jhuls and Jenny will be a lot of fun 🙂
I think so, too! You’re in! Thanks, Judi. Im so excited! 😀
It will be an international Fiesta Friday – an American (actually 2 including you), a Brit and (I’m not sure where Jhuls lives).
Fiesta Friday, International Edition, I LOVE that! Come to think about it, I don’t know where Jhuls lives, either 😀
