Fiesta Friday #240

Now that I’m back to work, I need to organize my time and MYSELF wisely. Gone are the days when I can wake up late, make a big cup of latte, and go on an indulgent stroll in my backyard talking to my plants.

Besides it’s been too hot and humid to be out there. Who knows what’s happening to my plants? I haven’t seen them in two weeks!

I’ll either be pleasantly surprised or dismayed and disappointed. Hopefully, it’ll be the former. Hopefully, Mother Nature takes pity on those plants. I can only hope.

Anyway, aren’t you glad it’s Friday? I am! The heat makes this week seem so long. So, hallelujah to Friday!

Now, take a look at these yummies

How to Make a Gin and Tonic Slushy from Kit @ The Kittchen

“This drink will be a sure hit in any kids-free party. It looks so inviting.” — Lathi

French Onion Soup Burgers from Mollie @ The Frugal Hausfrau

“I absolutely adore onions, and this burger really delivers! The combination of Gruyère, provolone, beef, French onion soup mix (by the way, she shares a recipe for homemade mix, which rocks), and onions is absolutely to die for. This is fairly close to my dream burger, if there is such a thing, lol!” — Antonia

Halloween Nutty Kataifi Monsters from Jas @ All that’s Jas

“I think these monsters are so cute and amazingly presented. Kids are going to enjoy Halloween with these Monster Kataifi” — Lathi

Trail Mix Cookies from Kat @ Kat’s 9 Lives

“There is nothing like cookies for breakfast, especially when they are super healthy! I love Kat’s creation and plan to try it very soon. A delicious and healthy combination of flavors and textures!” — Antonia

That seems to be the general consensus, among moms with younger kids. For me it’s the opposite. I now have to deal with those kids! No, I’m just kidding. I love the students in my school. The little ones are especially adorable.

I want to dive into that hamburger of Mollie’s, too! Lunch not for a couple more hours, though.

What happened to my plants outside? They got outcompeted by all the WEEDS!!!! Been a bit too hot to care.

I’m afraid to find out what’s happened to my plants. From inside the house they seem ok, but who knows up close.

Feel free to send the heat over here! 😛 We ‘almost’ had to put the heating on as the temperature suddenly dropped from 26c (79f) to just 14c (57f)! I’m hoping it will warm up again so I will be tempted to check on the allotment! Have a great weekend and Happy Fiesta! 😀 x

Omg, you can take the heat anytime! I’m not sure I can take it much longer. I’m sure once it gets cold here, I’ll be complaining too ? Why can’t it be 70s all the time?!

Mine, too! And I’ve bought all kinds of spices and ingredients, too. The only thing I need to do is finding the time! Oh that elusive time. Already this morning my daughter asked to go shopping for clothes, which means I’ll be out the whole day!

Okay I know this might be a super silly question but how do I “link back” to your blog and the other hosts blog? Do I just copy paste your URL on the bottom of my own post? I’ve just recently started taking part in link ups and yours is by far my favorite. I already got a couple comments on my blog from people at Fiesta Friday linkup so I’m grateful. Thank you!

To link back, you can mention our blogs and then hyperlink the text or do something creative like “This post is being shared at Fiesta Friday/I’m partying with the fine people at Fiesta Friday…etc.” and then hyperlink the text ?? That was just a suggestion, of course, you do what you feel is appropriate for your blog, as long as you hyperlink you’ll be fine. Thanks so much for participating, Delia. I’m looking forward to getting to know you and your blog.
