During my summer break, I spend 50% of my time in the garden, 40% sleeping, 25% cooking, and 10% playing Wii Sports. I realize that does not add up to 100%, but that’s how it is.
Time stretches in summer and rolls from one day to another without obvious starts or ends. I sometimes don’t even know what time or day it is. Like today. I almost forgot it’s already Friday, fiesta time!
I will be bringing something to the fiesta, promise! I did recently make spectacular samosas filled with some of my garden weeds. Intrigued? Come and join the fiesta and find out!
Favorites from last week’s fiesta:
“How do you tell your children that you love them? By making them homemade pop tarts, of course! My kids are so gonna love these.” — Angie
“I’m serving these for dessert next time I host book club. Gluten and dairy free will suit everyone, and they look delicious.” — Liz
“I love the combination of sweet, salty, melty and crisp. Add that it’s cooked on the grill and I am in heaven.” — Liz
“Vegetables on the grill with a spicy green sauce…spot on!” — Liz

Great recipe list! I love pop tarts. My boys are always asking me to make them. No store bought ones here, so is always a treat when I make them. Happy weekend!

Lucky, lucky boys! My son absolutely loves pop tarts and I have yet to make him the homemade version. I have to make a better effort ? Happy FF!

What a hot and sweaty week this is! At least here in the northeast… definitely splurging on adding in A/C of some sort ASAP.
I’m going through the wonderful recipes, and it is enjoyable to be eating vicariously.
Wii sports? I have to admit that is an endeavor I’ve yet to try. I’d actually fear it would be addictive…

The heat is just too punishing! I try to go out early in the morning to do my gardening, then stay indoors the rest of the time. That’s when Wii comes in handy ? Today may be the hottest day yet, but here I am cranking up the oven making that burger roll (link #11). If it turns out as well as I expect it, then it may be repeated in a couple of days to celebrate the 4th. Thanks for cohosting, I’ll try to make more rounds tonight.

That seems to be going around, the disappearing comments. I think it’s WP’s fault. When in doubt, always blame WP ? You’re welcome!
