Let the shenanigans begin!
Remember, we’ll all be Irish tomorrow. Can you feel it in your bones already?
If you need help in getting there, the leprechaun says you need to try one or all of these.
First, potatoes.
Irish Potato Pancakes. Recipe is on the next post.
Then, something green.
Sourpatch Grapes aka Leprechaun Treats. Just grapes dusted with lime-flavored Jello powder.
If those still don’t get you feeling in the mood, then you’d better step it up a notch with something outrageous.
That’s how the Irish roll! Erin go bragh!
Have a happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Vegan Chocolate Banana Mousse from Monika @ Everyday Healthy Recipes
“If you didn’t read the ingredients for Monika’s mousse, you wouldn’t know it was a healthy version and that, in my opinion, is a good thing! It looks decadent and comforting, but it’s actually good for you! Those things don’t mix that often!” — Abbey
Jalapeno Cheese Cornbread from Julianna @ Foodie On Board
“Is there anything better than jalapenos and cheese? These cornbread muffins look absolutely scrumptious, and I would love to enjoy some with a bowl of tomato soup. Pure comfort!” — Antonia
Chipa Licuadora from Lizet @ Chipa by the dozen
“As soon as I can find cassava flour, I’ll be making these. Don’t they look almost like they’ve been fried and crisp on the outside? I’m very curious about how they taste!” — Angie

Have fun being Irish!!!!
Thanks! It’ll be so much fun! ☘️
Thank you SO much for featuring my healthy dessert! Your potato pancakes look gorgeous, pinned! I am surprised at how similar these pancakes are to Polish potato pancakes, almost identical. I’ll come back later with another recipe, which I am really excited about, hope it turns out ok, it’s something I’ve never made before! Have a good weekend:)
That’s great to know. Isn’t it amazing how certain dishes fro different cuisines can be similar? Take for example, Chinese noodles and wontons and Italian spaghetti and tortellini. Amazing, right?! Have a wonderful weekend, Monika! ?
Whoa!! That shamrock milkshake looks so good!! And I need to have that Irish potato pancakes! Delicious features, Angie! Happy Fiesta Friday!?
My kids have been bugging me to go to Black Tap. I’m taunting them by showing them the picture ?
You are a good momma ?
Oh wow! so excited to see my chipa recipe here. Thanks so much for sharing, and I hope you get to try it!
Beautiful shot of the Irish potato pancakes. They looks so crispy.
That’s great to hear, Lizet! Now I completely get the name of your blog. It’s so clever!
Thank you kindly for letting us share. Have a blessed day!
Oh, you’re so sweet! We thank you for partying with us!
I am hoping to post my Irish stew recipe here tomorrow… I want to make it tomorrow since I will bringing it to a potluck tomorrow night. Don’t know all the ingredient amounts until I taste it… At any rate, your potato pancakes look awesome!
Looking forward to that stew! That’s always a problem, isn’t it? Ideally we want to make and eat the special dishes for special holidays/events on the day, but as food bloggers we’re almost obligated to post them ahead of time. Thanks for the nice words on the boxty!
My stew was okay, but I was not enough satisfied with it this year to post the recipe for the stew. The meat and veggies were tender and good, but the broth it was in… needs a bit of work. So, nothing for St. Pat’s, alas. Next year…
Oh, that’s alright, Diann. It only goes to show that your recipes are tried and true. I’m like that, too. Nothing is posted unless I’m completely satisfied with the results ?
Thank you so much for the feature! I really appreciate it!
You’re welcome! I love cinnamon rolls, and the maple in the frosting is a nice touch!
I bet the boxty tastes amazing with that beautiful egg on top! My son is flipping out over that shake, what a creation. I had fun co-hosting! Happy weekend! 😀
Your son and my kids! He’d love to visit Black Tap. I think they have several locations now, but mostly still in NY, though. I’m glad you had fun cohosting. Whenever you want to do it again, just let me know.
I could do May 3 or mid-June, if either of those work.
May 3 sounds great, Antonia! I’ll put you down, thanks! ?
Actually, Antonia, I think you meant May 4?
Yes, May 4 😀
? ?
Thanks for hosting! Mmmmm that Boxty looks delish, you can’t go wrong with an egg on top!
Thanks, Laura! I hope you’re enjoying the party!
Hey Angie! Happy St. Paddy’s day! I wish I had something green to bring to the party, but alas, all I have in my fridge is a few lettuce leaves – not very inspiring! Your Boxty looks super yummy! I am on spring break now, so I am hoping to try this.
Thanks so much for featuring my cornbread! I really appreciate it.
Have a great weekend! 😀
I had McD shamrock shake yesterday for my “greens” consumption. Once a year it should be ok, right?! ? One more week for me before spring break starts, can’t wait! I’m hoping to try your cornbread too. Sounds terrific!
Hi Angie,
I hope you had a great St Patricks day! I went to a party, managed to avoid the whiskey and had a great time! I love how you gt in to it and the grapes look amazing, you have a magic touch 🙂 xx
I had a nice day with my family; we got our shamrock shakes from McD ? In the past I usually had a party with my girlfriends but these days I prefer a quiet and relaxing time with family. I must be getting old ? Aren’t those grapes the cutest thing? I’ll be making more for Easter, using different colors.
It sounds perfect! All of the sudden I like quiet nights in and days when I have time to well, d very little, it is quite nice ha ha
The grapes look adorable! , you are so inventive 🙂
??
Top o’ the mornin’ to ya! 😛
I knew I’d get here eventually! I didn’t realise where I was staying all weekend only had a maximum 2.8mbps internet speed… it’s taken me forever to download anything! Anyway, here I am – but I hope you noticed I was around anyway! 😛
I love the boxty Angie and I’ve got my potatoes mashed ready to make them tomorrow! Oh and those grapes? I haven’t a clue how you did that but they look so pretty! 😀
Hope you had a great weekend, speak soon. xxx
Ha, my husband kept saying that in the most hilarious accent – Top o the mornin to ya! ? Made my daughter laugh ? So, you’ll be making the boxty? Looking forward to see what you’ll serve it with. Thanks for cohosting, Laurena ??
