Fiesta Friday #190

Judging from the most favorited links from last week’s fiesta, I’m wagering a guess that some of you are in a complete Halloween mood.

All I can say is… ALREADY?! Seriously?!

Okay, okay… I get it. It’s the most exciting holiday since you get to trick people into giving you candy. Aaand… you get to play dress up while doing it. And thennn… you get to eat all the candy you want, for dinner!

Oh yay!! Now I CAN’T wait for Halloween!!

Wait a minute… are you allowed to participate if you’re a mom? Or are you supposed to hold down the fort while everyone else is out having fun? It seems that’s been my job for more than a decade on Halloween.

I think I should plan to have the last laugh this year. I’m going to make myself a large tray of Halloween goodies and while everyone is out trick or treating, I’ll be enjoying them in peace, without any interruptions.

If I could hire me a minion to give out the candy, that is.

Now, Features!

I can see so many Halloween recipes for the past months. I don’t celebrate Halloween, but I guess that would be fun if you’ll just eat the candies.? Happy Fiesta Friday, Angie. And thanks to the ones who voted for my sweet potatoes.?

I’m feeling so behind! I still have many of my summer posts waiting to be published! I’m moving at a snail’s pace over here, as usual. So many distractions! Lately the hubs and I have been having movie nights ?

I am certainly NOT in a Halloween mood just yet, recently I didn’t eat any cake for 2 weeks just to be able to fit into a dress I bought 15 years ago, and it worked! If only sugar wasn’t as good as it is… I think I’ll have a little cake tonight just because it’s the weekend:)

Oh no, now you’re making feel guilty. We’ve been enjoying this excellent berry pie from a local bakery. We bought one, then another, then another! They’re just so good! I hear you about sugar. I’ve been trying to cut down myself, but so hard!

Halloween seems to be growing in popularity here in the UK and I have to admit I was thinking if I should add some Halloween decorations to my market stall! I have also seen Christmas cards in the shops but I did my best to ignore them for now!
Can’t believe I am not last, phew! Happy Fiesta Friday and have a great weekend! 🙂 x

You should! It’s actually one of my favorite holidays in terms of decorations, the other Easter; so colorful! And yes, we shall ignore Christmas stuff in stores for now ??

I thought that I wasn’t getting ready for Halloween… (still hanging onto summer!) BUT, I did buy a black and orange “BOO!” throw pillow yesterday! 😉

I did almost buy a silly looking spider to hang on the tree outside, but the husband was with me and he managed to change my mind ?

We will be in Mexico in time for The Day of The Dead. Cool costumes and food and no trick or treat. I actually hate Halloween. It’s a weird holiday but I’m loving all these fun recipes and pumpkins!
    Thanks for hosting chica,

Oh how fun, dia de los muertos! I always missed it every time I went to Mexico. I love watching the festivities on TV, though. I don’t hate Hallowen, I like the decorating part, but it’s always been a hard day for me ever since I became a mom! Living in a large development doesn’t help ?

I’m with you on the “really”! I hate that our holidays get pushed so early in front of the actual day. I am tired of the holiday when it finally gets here. I start seeing Christmas stuff right after Halloween these days, even before Thanksgiving.

And it makes me all anxious, like I’m late for something! I prefer doing things at a leisurely pace, it’s more enjoyable that way. Quality of life is very important to me, so relaxation is a must ??Of course other people might say it’s just an excuse for laziness, but I refuse to believe it ?

I’ve seen Christmas stuff already. I can understand this in craft stores, as it takes time for people to make crafts, but at Home Depot? Not looking!
