Fiesta Friday #141

Hi, peeps! I don’t have time to talk today, I need to hustle!!

I’m just joking, okay?! Of course I always have time to talk to you. But I do need to hustle.

First I gotta give Skye a bath, then I gotta make brownies, then I gotta drive them brownies to the son.

Yup, I’m visiting the son this weekend, yippee! It’s Family Weekend at his school.

When I asked the son what he needed, he said, “Just bring me your brownies.” Gulp! I almost cried when I heard that. Turns out he likes and misses my brownies. I had no idea!!

Surprises do still happen even at this stage in their life, peeps. Just be prepared.

So that’s why I need to hustle today. I’m making brownies!

Now, Features!

He’s a picky eater so I was surprised actually but very pleased and flattered of course ? Although thinking back, he was always the one who ate most of the desserts I made, so maybe it shouldn’t surprise me. I know your kids will miss YOUR desserts ??

Big surprise to me! I mean, he always liked all the desserts I made but I always thought he’s the type that prefers eating out. He seemed to prefer restaurant food vs homemade, maybe dorm life changes him ??

Yes I found that with my own kids too. Once they were out of the house, they missed mom’s cooking a lot.
A nice back-handed compliment for us, right:) My daughter was in NYC with all the international cuisines around her but missed home made food and my son would say mom your chili is the best even after going to every place that said “world’s best chili”….ha ha….when they were home they ate like they were doing me a favor by eating my food 🙂

Hi Angie and everyone else! Thanks for hosting a great party and I’m glad to join once more. Sorry for being out of touch for the last couple of months. Work was hectic and lesson planning was taking over my free time – however, with lots more experience under my belt, I’ve finally found time to cook again!

Angie, I know I offered before and then wasn’t around but I am free — and not working for the next couple of weeks if you need someone to co-host.
Hope you’ve a wonderful time with your son. I’m sure he will scarf those brownies down!
