Fiesta Friday #98

Deck the halls with boughs of holly…

Hey, Fiesta Friday Friends! As we are gearing up toward Christmas, I want you to start feeling festive. I NEED you to start feeling festive!

I want all things Christmas, everywhere, every time! Time is short, friends! I can almost feel it slipping through my fingers. Come January, I know I’ll be sad all the Christmas songs are off the air.

So, let’s Christmas-party hard!

And to get you in the mood, I’ve decorated our party hall here, see? You like?

‘Tis the season to be jolly…

P.S. I managed to finish a recipe post; it’s a Christmas miracle! It’s coming right up.

***

Now it’s time for features!

Caramel Apple Cupcakes from Anjana @ At the Corner of Happy and Harried

“Look at these cupcakes! Aren’t they gorgeous?! And best of all, they are made with apples and then topped with cream cheese and caramel, only my favorite things in the world! And for that, I’ll say yippee kiyay! Or as Anjana said, yippee yoo!” — Angie

Very Savory Skillet Corn Bread with Chillies, Corn & Olives from Sonal @ simplyvegetarian777

“A skillet cornbread has never been more gorgeously presented or captured on camera. I am swooning over both the photos and the bread! The addition of the olives and flax seeds with just a bit of cheddar takes this over the top and makes for one stunning cornbread!” — Johanne

“I love a savory cornbread that is different and full of flavor. This would be wonderful toasted or beside a bowl of chili.” — Liz

Buttermilk Spice Cake from Hannah @ Domestic Gothess

“Did you see that care! OMG, drop dead gorgeous! And, I love that it was not inches thick in sweet icing.” — Liz

Dried Plum Stollen from Caroline @ Caroline’s Cooking

“It is the dessert/bread of the season. This tea cake would be lovely with a cup of tea, sure cure for a day of holiday shopping.” — Liz

***

Now, let’s Christmas-party! And let’s welcome two brand-new co-hosts, Sadhna @ Herbs, Spices, and Traditions and Natalie @ Kitchen, uncorked.

Join the party by adding your link! If you’re new to Fiesta Friday, please read the guidelines.

I’m glad you are not going to be Ms’s Scrooge and you are getting into the spirit. I love the festive header. Sorry if I repeated my Christmas cake but it is a Xmas party after all. Happy FF!

It’s not exactly a Christmas post, more for Hanukkah although I don’t observe Hanukkah. But I’ll be working on a Christmas post this weekend. 🙂

Of course we love pineapple fried rice! Is there even any other kind that’s as good as the pineapple kind? Plus, pineapple is my thing! The FF logo is a pineapple! 🙂

Hi Angie, I love the Christmas decorations on the site. Only two weeks to go until the big day, it’s coming too fast. I brought some Mexican hot chocolate to the party and am looking forward to co-hosting this week. Happy FF!

Love the decorations, and thanks for the feature – you see I was trying to get you in the spirit early 🙂 I will keep it up this week too, if that’s OK, though maybe in a different way. Looking forward to seeing all the great dishes as ever – hopefully I can manage to mingle a bit more this week, last week I really struggled for time and feel bad!

No problem – I always do when I’m hosting, I just also try to a fair bit otherwise too, but can be tricky (like when I am alone with 2 kids as a fair bit in the last couple weeks!)

YAY Angie! LOVE the banner! I have been watching all possible Christmas movies on Hallmark! Coz the 80*F outside is not helping me. LOL. Happy Fiesta Friday! By mistake I posted a draft with an earlier time stamp.. will be linking that here. Hope that’s not a problem. I would love to change the time stamp but it was just published on Foodgawker 🙁 so i’m stuck!

80 degrees?!! Well, under normal circumstances, I would say I envy you, but not this time of year, haha… Actually it was 60 deg. over here today and will continue through the weekend. I’m torn. I like snow at Christmas but I don’t want to shovel! Don’t worry about the link. It’s the holiday season. The FF rules & guidelines patrol is on vacation 😀
