Deck the halls with boughs of holly…
Hey, Fiesta Friday Friends! As we are gearing up toward Christmas, I want you to start feeling festive. I NEED you to start feeling festive!
I want all things Christmas, everywhere, every time! Time is short, friends! I can almost feel it slipping through my fingers. Come January, I know I’ll be sad all the Christmas songs are off the air.
So, let’s Christmas-party hard!
And to get you in the mood, I’ve decorated our party hall here, see? You like?
‘Tis the season to be jolly…
P.S. I managed to finish a recipe post; it’s a Christmas miracle! It’s coming right up.

Now it’s time for features!
Caramel Apple Cupcakes from Anjana @ At the Corner of Happy and Harried
“Look at these cupcakes! Aren’t they gorgeous?! And best of all, they are made with apples and then topped with cream cheese and caramel, only my favorite things in the world! And for that, I’ll say yippee kiyay! Or as Anjana said, yippee yoo!” — Angie
Very Savory Skillet Corn Bread with Chillies, Corn & Olives from Sonal @ simplyvegetarian777
“A skillet cornbread has never been more gorgeously presented or captured on camera. I am swooning over both the photos and the bread! The addition of the olives and flax seeds with just a bit of cheddar takes this over the top and makes for one stunning cornbread!” — Johanne
“I love a savory cornbread that is different and full of flavor. This would be wonderful toasted or beside a bowl of chili.” — Liz
Buttermilk Spice Cake from Hannah @ Domestic Gothess
“Did you see that care! OMG, drop dead gorgeous! And, I love that it was not inches thick in sweet icing.” — Liz
Dried Plum Stollen from Caroline @ Caroline’s Cooking
“It is the dessert/bread of the season. This tea cake would be lovely with a cup of tea, sure cure for a day of holiday shopping.” — Liz

I’m glad you are not going to be Ms’s Scrooge and you are getting into the spirit. I love the festive header. Sorry if I repeated my Christmas cake but it is a Xmas party after all. Happy FF!
Angie says
It’s okay, it’ll help me start feeling festive. 🙂
Dad Whats 4 Dinner says
You can delete it if you like. Can’t wait to see what you post today. Ho Ho Ho!!!
Angie says
No, I’m keeping it. It’s Christmassy! I’ll try to work on a Christmas post this weekend. 🙂
Sarah James @ Tales From The Kitchen Shed says
Love the Christmas feel to Fiesta Friday, Angie. I’ve linked up a festive recipe, looking forward to your Christmas post x
Angie says
It’s not exactly a Christmas post, more for Hanukkah although I don’t observe Hanukkah. But I’ll be working on a Christmas post this weekend. 🙂
simplyvegetarian777 says
This is so awesome! Thanks for the feature ladies! ❤️
Angie says
Cornbread never looks so beautiful, Sonal, or sounds so delicious, as yours! 🙂
simplyvegetarian777 says
I will bake it again, since I chucked out the sweetness completely..?
Jhuls says
Hey, Angie! Thanks for the party! I brought in Pineapple Fried Rice. I hope everyone will like it. 😀 I can fee your excitement for Christmas! I wish you a lovely weekend! xx
Angie says
Of course we love pineapple fried rice! Is there even any other kind that’s as good as the pineapple kind? Plus, pineapple is my thing! The FF logo is a pineapple! 🙂
Jhuls says
Haha! I know, that’s why I told you personally about the fried rice. 😀
Natalie Browne says
Hi Angie, I love the Christmas decorations on the site. Only two weeks to go until the big day, it’s coming too fast. I brought some Mexican hot chocolate to the party and am looking forward to co-hosting this week. Happy FF!
Angie says
Love hot chocolate! Mexican hot chocolate is even better since it’s Mexico that gave us chocolate! Thanks for co-hosting. I hope you’ll have fun!
Natalie Browne says
Thanks for giving me the opportunity, Angie. I’m looking forward to it 🙂
Sadhna Grover says
Hi Angie,
I really appreciate that you gave me chance to co-host this party, thank you very much.
Today i linked here orange lentil curry with carrots.
Angie says
No, thank YOU for agreeing to co-host! I hope you’ll have fun, Sadhna! 🙂

Love the decorations, and thanks for the feature – you see I was trying to get you in the spirit early 🙂 I will keep it up this week too, if that’s OK, though maybe in a different way. Looking forward to seeing all the great dishes as ever – hopefully I can manage to mingle a bit more this week, last week I really struggled for time and feel bad!
Angie says
Yah, I think it was you all along who’s been making feel like Christmas will be here tomorrow! LOL! I love it, Caroline! I love Christmas, even if it’s the busiest time of year for me. Don’t forget next week you’ll have to mingle even more! 😀
carolinescookingblog says
No problem – I always do when I’m hosting, I just also try to a fair bit otherwise too, but can be tricky (like when I am alone with 2 kids as a fair bit in the last couple weeks!)
Arl's World says
Feeling festive Angie! Your header decorations definitely put me in the mood, love it! 🙂 Happy FF and weekend! 🙂
Angie says
Yay, my work here is definitely done! First I made Johanne laugh, and now I’m making you feel festive. I’ve accomplished so much in one day! 🙂
Sonal Kalra says
YAY Angie! LOVE the banner! I have been watching all possible Christmas movies on Hallmark! Coz the 80*F outside is not helping me. LOL. Happy Fiesta Friday! By mistake I posted a draft with an earlier time stamp.. will be linking that here. Hope that’s not a problem. I would love to change the time stamp but it was just published on Foodgawker 🙁 so i’m stuck!
Angie says
80 degrees?!! Well, under normal circumstances, I would say I envy you, but not this time of year, haha… Actually it was 60 deg. over here today and will continue through the weekend. I’m torn. I like snow at Christmas but I don’t want to shovel! Don’t worry about the link. It’s the holiday season. The FF rules & guidelines patrol is on vacation 😀
Sonal Kalra says
Thanks Angie! Hope the rain is making you feel better today. It’s still 80 here! Grrr
Anjana @ At The Corner Of Happy & Harried says
Thanks for the feature and the lovely words, Angie!!
Angie says
You’re most welcome! And thank you for sharing with Fiesta Friday! XOXO
Flourish and Knot says
Thanks for hosting! I’ve missed this party but I’m so glad to be back and enjoying all the wonderful inspiration.
Angie says
Glad to have you back, Sarah! Can you believe how fast Christmas is approaching? But knowing you, I’m sure your house is ready. In fact I’ve taken a peek and wow, you’ve been busy decorating! Looks awesome! 🙂
Elaine @ foodbod says
Love your party header ☺️☺️☺️ Christmas has begun!!! Happy Fiesta Friday xxx
Angie says
Great to hear, Elaine! Though it was 70 degrees today and I was actually digging and moving plants! Unheard of, so close to Christmas! What’s going on? 🙂
Elaine @ foodbod says
It’s been the same here, very mild, not at all how it should be!!!
Vasun says
I love the festive banner, Angie! I’m bringing my Disco Ball Chocolate Cola Cake. It’s getting very hot here in NZ so completely opposite of snow. Happy Holidays everyone!
Angie says
Sounds very promising, Vasun! I’ll mosey over and check it out in a minute. It’s been kinda warm here as well. Not at all what it should be. But I’ll be glad not to have to shovel snow 😀
