Hi, guys! We need to start thinking about what we want to do for FF100. As luck would have it, it will fall exactly on Christmas Day. Oh, yay!
Maybe we can do a Christmas-themed celebration? Or will it be too late by then?
#100 is also close enough to a 2nd Anniversary. So, an Anniversary-themed can be appropriate, too. I’m not sure which way to go.
I’m looking for ideas and I’m open to all kinds of suggestions.
And I won’t be heart-broken, either, if everybody wants to take one or two weeks off. We’ve been going non-stop, after all, for nearly 2 years, without any pause. Which in itself is a huge accomplishment, I think. Let’s give ourselves a pat on the back, yay!
Anyhow, let me know what y’all are thinking about the big 100.

And now, features from last week, yay!!
Toffee Apple Gingerbread Loaf from Hannah @ Domestic Gothess
“By far one of the most mouth-watering dishes of the night. I love how she combined two classic bonfire dishes to create the perfect comfort food on these cold winter nights that are slowly approaching!” — Kaila
“I have to second Kaila; this looks incredible! An absolute must-try for me!” — Angie
Honey Yeast Rolls from Jess @ Cooking is My Sport
“Being new to bread-making, I am always in awe when I see homemade breads. I mean, who doesn’t love warm, homemade bread? I was just ‘wowed’ by these Honey Yeast Rolls by Jess. They are so perfect for me that if only I could teleport, I would have done it the moment I saw these yummy rolls.” — Jhuls
“These look so much better than the ones you’d buy in a bread aisle! Not only was I impressed by the flavors in this dish, but they puffed beautifully. Yum! I especially enjoyed Jess’ post about how she was surprised with how well they came out. And, I think these would be a fabulous addition to any Thanksgiving table.” — Kaila
Carmel Apple Pudding Shots from Quinn @ Dad Whats 4 Dinner
“Don’t let me get anywhere near these! I can down a dozen if nobody stops me! Especially on a Friday night. These look dangerously delicious, hic!” — Angie
“For me, this dip is just so perfect. The addition of the moose sounds very new to me – I think it adds amazing flavor to the dip. I love the combinations of the flavors. Just fantastic! I just want to dive in and finish off everything!” Jhuls

Shani says
Wow! Congratulations on the almost 2 years! I love Fiesta Friday–the recipes and the people involved! Cheers to more years for FF (advanced greeting hihi).
Angie says
Thanks, Shani! So great to hear you’re enjoying Fiesta Friday since we love having you as well! 🙂
Quinn Caudill says
Thanks for the featureand for hosting Angie and also to your lovely co-hosts Judi @ cookingwithauntjuju and Stef @ The Kiwi Fruit. How bout a New Years Eve Blow Out for the 100th FF.
Have a great weekend.
Angie says
That sounds like a great idea, Quinn! Maybe a 2-week gala event, the bigger the better, right? 🙂
Suchitra says
Indeed time flies when you are making merry!!!! We have been having so much fun here at the Fiesta! Thanks Angie for this wonderful platform. It is a lot of work.An anniversary theme sounds great!
Angie says
I get tremendous joy out of Fiesta Friday so the work is a pleasure. I think a huge gala celebration is in order, I agree with you! 🙂
Margherita says
Hello!!! Lately I’m not so present… but I’m trying to do my best… I think you should celebrate the FF #100 and maybe, take a 2 weeks off right after… 2 years and #100 must be celebrated!
Angie says
That’s such a sensible idea! I think we should go with that. So, maybe a 2-week celebration (just like the 1st Anniversary) and then a break. Hey, I understand about juggling priorities, don’t worry. As long as the baby’s needs are met, that’s the most important thing in the world! 🙂
Margherita says
Thanks a lot Angie !
Kaila (GF Life 24/7) says
I like the Christmas idea, but if it’s too early, we could also do New Years celebration, especially if the party is lasting 2 weeks! 😀
Angie says
I think a Christmas theme might be a little too late by the time Christmas actually comes around, lol…that sounds funny but that’s how blogs work. So a New Year celebration might be more appropriate. It’s also easier to incorporate the anniversary into it.
cookingwithauntjuju.com says
After 4 years of blogging and 850+ recipes I am actually losing some steam. However, I will never turn down a Fiesta Friday celebration especially one so big 🙂
Angie says
Well then, maybe you can be one of the co-hosts for the special event, should you accept the assignment 😀 Don’t run out of steam just yet!
cookingwithauntjuju.com says
I might consider that Angie – I think it’s the holidays and they can be overwhelming sometimes 🙂
Angie says
I know, that’s why I suggested a break 🙂 Just let me know.
cookingwithauntjuju.com says
Of course I will help as I know you could use a break too – I mean two years, week after week! Good job Angie and everyone does appreciate the time and effort you have put into Fiesta Friday 🙂
nimmiafzal says
2 years without fail is not a small thing.. Something really great?!! So the 100th post should be a grand celebration.. We should plan something unique and awesome..!! Happy FF#4
Angie says
Grand celebration it is!! Thanks, Nimmi! Give yourself a pat on the back, too. 🙂
Julie is Hostess At Heart says
I may be a bit absent because my son will be home. He only makes it once a year. However, I would agree with Quinn and go for the New Years party theme.
Angie says
That seems to be the consensus. It’s looking more and more like it’ll be a grand party type celebration. As long as you’ll stop by to say hello, we’ll be happy. Son is way more exciting than FF! 🙂
Julie is Hostess At Heart says
Thank you Angie!
Jhuls says
Whoa!! 100th and 2 years of FF? Where did the time go? 2-week celebration sounds really good, Angie! Thank you again for this wonderful community! You all mean a lot to me!! Hugs!
Angie says
Thank YOU, Jhuls! Give yourself a pat on the back! Never thought we would last this long! XOXO
Jhuls says
Oh, I just did! 😀 Tell me if I can do anything to help. xx
carolinescookingblog says
So exciting, 2 years and 100 posts! I remember last year’s celebration like it was only a month or so ago…there definitely should be something special but I suspect doing a Christmas theme to go out on Christmas may as you say be a bit late…another thought, though, if people were up for it would be linked to something else I came across – I am taking part in a food blogger cookie exchange where I have been secretly given the addresses of 3 bloggers to send cookies to and I will similarly receive from 3 others. It’s being done in a few countries so they match you with others within country so it doesn’t cost as much. Then all recipes are posted on the one day. We If people were up for it, we could do something similar although be a bit more open on what is sent – it could even just be ingredients such as a spice blend for a recipe that’s posted, for example. Don’t know what you think?
Angie says
I know of this cookie swap event and I think it’s a wonderful way to get to know each other better. Cookies might be easier to ship, however, than say…hummus dip, haha… But I think it might be a great incentive to offer free giveaways, i.e., spice blends, cookbooks, etc. I wouldn’t mind putting up some of these myself since it’s probably too late to find sponsors. But I think we should keep the swap in mind for one of these days. I really love the idea!
Elaine @ foodbod says
Wow! 100 parties and two years?? How brilliant is that?! What a fab achievement 🙂 🙂 I think maybe YOU should have some time off 🙂 xxx
Angie says
Maybe I will take that break. Didn’t think I could, lol! XOXO
Elaine @ foodbod says
Yes you can!!! And you should! Hand the reigns over or just declare a public holiday 🙂 x
eclecticoddsnsods says
my bucketlist is one day to be able to make macaroons, but got to master those squidgy things you need to squeeze it through yet they scare me. Wonderful dishes as always, omg 2 years? Faints
Angie says
You know, I was able to make those fiddly things once and only once! Beginner’s luck as they say. Maybe a macaron challenge could be fun! I’m fainting along with you 😀
eclecticoddsnsods says
oh macaroni….yum yum! haha…i left this in as i read that as macaroni, oh lordy…..macaroon yum too haha…honestly not been drinking!!!!
Mr Fitz says
Maybe no theme at all….? Just a great big nice party.. with everyone around..
Angie says
Gotta have theme!
Mr Fitz says
Hmm theme of longevity?
Angie says
No, thanks, it makes me sound old.
Mr Fitz says
Hahah was thinking more about those old time recipes that have been handed about
Mr Fitz says
Have to say.. that Fiesta Friday number one takes me back.. in a good way!! and there I am .. the first ahem… must make the gyros again… hmmmmmm

Angie says
You’ve been here from the beginning? And you too are still standing?! Incredible!! I never thought I would last this long. And my drafts are getting longer and fuller. I may be ale to stay another year! As long as you’ll be here:D
Mr Fitz says
We will be here together.. Remember when I asked for your Christmas post?
Angie says
Does this mean I have to do another Christmas post? Ay ay ay…
Angie says
You were the FIRST guest ever!! Lol, you deserve an award!
Mr Fitz says
Do I get a hat?
Angie says
You get 2.
Mr Fitz says
Ooh even better! One for the day and one for the night.. Cool!
Andrea Giang | Cooking with a Wallflower says
I can’t believe it’s been almost two years! Thanks for hosting, Angie! You’ve created a great place for everyone to hang out and mingle. As for a theme… I’m at a lost. Christmas might be too late. But maybe we could do a “potluck” sort of party. Someone can bring the drinks, someone else the desserts.
Angie says
Hard to believe we’ve been partying weekly for this long! And you’ve been there almost from the start. Thanks, Andrea! A giant potluck to celebrate is the perfect answer, I think. We need to celebrate big! 🙂
Sarah 'n Spice says
I can’t believe it’s almost 2 years already! Wow! It’s going to be a great celebration. A break or a very relaxed party would be great. You deserve both 🙂
Angie says
First we’ll celebrate big, then we’ll take a break, how does that sound? And I already know what I’ll do during the break. Sleep! Sorta sleep-deprived over here 🙂
Anna International says
Wowzers! Two years! I can’t believe it – it was my 2 year blogiversary this week, so I’ve been blogging as long as I’ve been (sporadically!) joining Fiesta Friday! And I have no doubt this amazing community is why I’ve enjoyed blogging so much, so thanks everyone! No recipe for you this week, but I promise a traditional Yorkshire winter treat next week!
And absolutely, for FF100 maybe a big New Year celebration (party food and cocktails all the way!) and then a much deserved holiday for you Angie! Your commitment deserves more than that to be sure, but a bit of a holiday helps! 🙂
Angie says
Happy 2nd Blogiversary to you!! It’s a huge milestone! Do you know the majority of blogs are abandoned within 6 months? For us to be chugging along after 2 years is a big deal. So it looks like most people are voting for a big New Year bash. Cocktails are a must! I know I’ll be pouring myself a tall glass of bubbly for real! 🙂
Loretta says
Beautiful features as always. I agree, a huge Gala celebration should be in the works! 2 years and 100 posts? Bring out the bubbly! However, I’m thinking around Christmas time folks get inundated with one thing or another, I know I will be, so maybe a New Year’s celebration with all that fizz and sparkle to go with your 100th post?
Angie says
A huge New Year/Anniversary Gala it is, then! I’m going to start stocking up on champagne! Any excuse I get, I’ll take 😀
apuginthekitchen says
2 years is a huge milestone as is the 100th post falling Christmas Day. There has to be a blowout celebration. I am sure everyone will start submitting holiday recipes starting really soon. Maybe Christmas post can be special featured recipes that have been submitted prior to Christmas Day and have the hosts pick their favorites the weeks prior with the unveliling on the FF#100. the following Friday can be a very special New Years Eve post with festive recipes.
Angie says
Sounds like a plan! Like you said everybody will start thinking about the holidays, definitely Christmas as soon as December rolls around, or as soon as Thanksgiving is over so we’ll have plenty of Christmassy posts. So a festive New Year theme sounds a lot more exciting. Something to look forward to. Thanks, Suzanne! Would you be interested in co-hosting the special event? I think Judi is up for it as well.
apuginthekitchen says
Would love to it would be an honor thank you Angie.
Angie says
No, thank YOU! I’m excited! 🙂
apuginthekitchen says
Me too!
Angie says
🙂
Ginger says
Wow – what a great anniversary! I hadn’t planned on writing a post but reading through the comments I couldn’t help thinking of our wonderful early Christmas this year … Anyways, what I wanted to say was well done you, Angie! I remember celebrating the 1st anniversary with you, and I think a New Year’s extravaganza sounds brilliant! But Suzanne’s idea sounds great, too! Now I am confused … To make up for my lack of direction I’ll volunteer to co-host – I absolutely adore Juju, so working with her would be extra special! Have a wonderful FF94 and let me know if you need me!
Angie says
I’m going to take you up on your offer, Ginger! You and Juju and maybe Suzanne if she agrees to it can manage the special event. The more help, the better. That way I can relax, muahahaha…
Sadhna Grover says
Hi Angie, wow 100th post for Fiesta Friday, my suggestion is to choose “cookies” or “cupcakes” or any sweet item. There should be a theme.
Thanks for hosting this for so long.
Angie says
Pretty sure there’ll be plenty of cookies and cupcakes, Sadhna. Maybe even cocktails to make it a CCC event 😀
cookingwithauntjuju.com says
I’ve been here from the beginning too! Those who participate in the big party could choose one of your recipes to make – their own version of course. Over the past two years you have made a little of everything so there is a recipe for everyone. Just a thought to thank you for all your hard work – might be fun 🙂
Angie says
That is the nicest thing anybody has ever suggested! You are too kind, Judi! I shall leave it up to people to select whatever recipe they want to try or create. I might even borrow one of your hundreds of excellent recipes. Maybe when I hit over a couple of hundred recipes I can start bragging 🙂
cookingwithauntjuju.com says
🙂 🙂 🙂
Arl's World says
I think Christmas will be to late for our 100th FF …I like the idea of doing a theme geared towards New Year’s Eve or Day …or a theme for just desserts? But I will love anything we do …even if we skip a week. 🙂 Thank you for being our wonderful host. I love our FF! One of these times I would like to host …not sure when, but I would like to do it. 🙂 Happy FF!!
Angie says
I think you’re right, Arlene! Only bloggers can say doing a Christmas post on Christmas is too late, lol! You should definitely co-host one of these days. I’m going to hold you to that! 🙂
Lina says
Congratulations! 100! Wow that’s awesome ☺☺☺I would suggest a Christmas themed party where everyone should bring a famous delight from their very own native☺ that way we can have recipes from all over as well as a themed part☺☺
Angie says
That would be a great party, Lina! And I would highly encourage you and everybody else to start bringing in Christmas recipes to FF so that by the time FF100 comes around we can feature these wonderful dishes! Thanks for a wonderful idea, hon! 🙂
lapetitepaniere says
Big bravo and congratulations Angie.100 Fiesta Friday and two years of partying, this is an amazing achievement. Have a superb weekend xx
Angie says
Thanks for being here always, Linda! Your presence and extraordinary recipes help elevate this party to another level! XOXO
lapetitepaniere says
You’re too kind, Angie. You can count on me, I’ll be at the Big Party with bells on 😀 xxx
Angie says
Thanks, Linda! Hey, one of these days. You’ll have to co-host! And I won’t take no for an answer. 🙂
lapetitepaniere says
Hi Angie, of course, I’d love too! I’ve just sent you a private message! 😉
FrugalHausfrau says
Hey, Angie, I think you should do a Christmas themed party the week BEFORE then skip the Christmas day party, then do a huge Anniversary New Year’s bash! That way, people who don’t celebrate Christmas won’t feel left out of the anniversary party, people who do celebrate Christmas will have the links BEFORE Christmas and won’t feel any pressure to be posting on Christmas day, and everyone can can participate and the huge New Year’s Anniversary Celebration Bash.
Also, I just brought the Molasses Spice Cookies since you mentioned you need to use up your Molasses in the pantry! Hope you enjoy them! 🙂 🙂 🙂
FrugalHausfrau says
But whatever you do, I’ll be there! With bells on and dish in hand! 🙂
Angie says
You just solved everything for me!! Now we’ve got a real plan. And to think I’ve been racking my brain for days! You need to be co-hosting the special New Year’s Bash! And I won’t take no for an answer! 🙂
FrugalHausfrau says
Absolutely – I will be thrilled! 🙂 Jumping up and down right now. Naw, not really!
FrugalHausfrau says
That just didn’t sound right – did it? Yes I am thrilled even though I’m really sitting in my Da’s comfy computer chair!! I can’t wait to co-host!
Angie says
No jumping up and down required. Although it would be nice, haha.,. Hey it’s good for ya, it’s exercise 😀
spiceinthecity says
Woohoo!! 2 years, 100 parties, how can we not celebrate Angie!! You have already got some wonderful suggestions above and I can’t wait to join in 😀 <3
Angie says
I fully expect you to be there, Naina! Won’t be the same without! 🙂 🙂 XOXO
FrugalHausfrau says
Ok, Angie, pay special attention to post 75 – I told ya I’d make Molassres Spice Cookies for you! 🙂
Angie says
I’m wide awake!! I’m paying very special attention to #75! Of course now I just bought malt syrup. So now I’m also looking for recipes with malt, haha… No, no…dont worry I’m sure I can treat it like molasses. Thank you much, Miss Mollie! You’re the best! XOXO
FrugalHausfrau says
Funny,l just bought malt vinegar today. Made red cabbage slaw with blue cheese. I’ve never tried malt syrup so I’m waiting to see what you’re going to do with it!
milkandbun says
Wow! Can’t wait for FF100! definitely posting festive recipes or DIY is the lovely idea! but better to start a bit earlier , so we can choose some nice recipes and cook them during holidays! 😉
Angie says
You got it, Mila! I need those festive ideas and recipes way before the festivities actually start so I can plan and buy the ingredients. So start bringing them to FF as soon as possible, please 🙂 🙂
