As my annual physical approaches, I’ve been taking good care of myself by eating mostly healthy food. And after weeks of enjoying plenty of fruits and vegetables, I think it’s perfectly fine to indulge in an early Easter treat. I made a grown-up version of Rice Krispies treats by adding nuts, seeds, oatmeal, and dried fruits. The bunny peeps and colorful sprinkles are definitely appropriate for adults, too. Hey, check out the solution I've devised to save money on groceries, especially eggs, which are soaring in price. I've started serving my food in small bowls and plates to give the illusion that I'm eating a full meal. St. Patrick’s Day sort of slipped by me this year. I found myself unprepared, which must have been the work of leprechauns playing tricks on me. The week before I had prepared a Guinness Pork Stew, and was planning to make a special treat using edible "shamrock" leaves for the day itself.
