Here are some meals we enjoyed in Salisbury, UK, listed in order of enjoyment:
First, the Cream Tea at the Bell Tower Tea Rooms, overlooking Salisbury Cathedral.
Second is the English breakfast offered at our hotel.
My husband’s third choice is this mountain of meat we had at The Chapter House, a pub that serves food with a South African twist.
For my third choice, I enjoyed this simple and solitary picnic in the back of the hotel overlooking the River Avon. It consisted of a small salad from Marks & Spencer food hall and a root vegetable pasty from the Cornish Bakery.
We also had to try some Indian food. This is Lamb Curry from Anooka.
And of course, we included the quintessential fish and chips in our repertoire while we were in the UK. Somehow, I didn’t take any pictures, but trust me, they were all delicious and fresh. If there’s one thing the Brits know how to cook, it’s fish and chips!
Okay, guys, toodeloo for now, till next week!

hi Angie
It sounds like a lovely trip! And perhaps a bit of English weather?
I love a good cream tea. Since I moved here I discovered that afternoon tea or cream tea isn’t as common place as I thought it was but it is lovely and I am glad you went. 🙂
Thank you for the feature and for hosting us all at the best foodie party! x
Thank you for featuring My low calorie drinks in the Fiesta party! Today I am bringing Gluten free Mango tiramisu to the party.
