A couple of weeks ago, the weather was looking promising, with rising temperatures and plenty of sunshine. The daffodils and hyacinths were in bloom, filling the air with their sweet fragrances.
At the same time, the Callery pear trees were covered in beautiful clusters of white flowers, filling the air with their… umm, let’s just say… malodorous scent.
Regardless, all these signs were unmistakably spring, and it was glorious!
Fast forward to today, and it seems the weather has taken a turn for the worse. The sky is now overcast and gray, temperatures are dropping, and rain and winds are in the forecast.
What can we do but stay inside with a warm bowl of chili?
A white chili, specifically, which some may argue is not chili at all. I, myself, wasn’t always a white chili enthusiast, but with the right recipe, and more importantly, the right moment, it can be the perfect antidote for a dreary day.
These May Help Brighten Your Day, Too!
