There you are! So glad to see you made it!
Welcome to your new Fiesta Friday home! Yes, from now on, this is where we’ll party. Instead of renting a space @InLinkz, we now have our own “party hall” where we can hang out and make as much ruckus as we want!!
There isn’t much to look at for now, but don’t worry, I’ll soon put up decorations and install a permanent cocktail bar and maybe even a fully functioning kitchen. After all, what can be more fun than a bunch of friends getting together and being merry over a table full of food? Good conversations and libations added in the mix wouldn’t hurt, either! So, kick back, relax, and enjoy the start of your weekend! Oh, and help yourself to some veggies & dip that I’ve prepared for you.
And if you need anything, your co-hosts, Tracy @Scratch It Cook and Nancy @Feasting With Friends will be happy to help you.

I’m ready to party!! Well, as soon as I get a bite (or two) of those delicious crudite. 😛 The bouquets are gorgeous, Angie! This new party hall you’ve created is perfect for your growing gathering. I can’t wait to see what scrumptious foods everyone brings along!
I still need to do a lot more to make the site more interactive. Learning as I go, Nancy. At a snail’s pace, it seems. I’ll get there eventually. Hopefully, this site will eventually become a resource for everyone involved.
Whoooooo! LOVE the new site and LOVE starting the party with that gorgeous crudite, Angie! 😀
Thanks, darling! Btw, don’t mention it just yet until tomorrow at 8 am. It’s a surprise for everyone else! Co-hosts have special privileges!
I love this new site, and I can’t wait for the decorations, permanent cocktail bar and fully functioning kitchen. 😉 The crudité bouquet is beautiful as well. Thanks for all the work you did to move the site!
I’m so glad you like it, Kaila! It’s still in that “new home” stage where everything is bare. If you have any ideas on how to make this space viewer-friendly, let me know. I intend to make this into a community-driven site.
Happy Friday!! Love love love the new site for FF, and those bouquets are just adorable! 😀
Thank you so much, Amanda! I’m so glad you like it. I might just start asking you a bunch of questions about this self-hosted thing 😀 Can’t find recipe plugin that I like!! I need to learn HTML!!
Alway ready to be surprised and to party as well! Let me know in case you will need my help as a co-host, I’d like to!
Great to hear, Margy! Would you like to co-host FF61, with Selma?
I’ m totally in! Thanks a lot!
Okey dokey, you and Selma next week!
You know you have a proper party when you have your own space – how exciting! And can’t wait for the kitchen and bar 🙂 A quick question, would you prefer we link up to this site from now on rather than your own, or keep the link as The Novice Gardener for people to follow through?
Thanks, Caroline! Yes, I think it’s wise to start linking up to fiestafriday.net, since I intend to move all food/recipe related posts to here and keep The Novice Gardener as a gardening journal (duh!) 😀
Niice!!! I am sure by the time you are done with the decorations, its going to be the best party in town 🙂
Thanks for that vote of confidence, Swayam! Lots to do still, but I’ll get there eventually. I need HTML for dummies!! 😀
Bravo Angie (a roaring round of applause) in the background!! You’ve outdone yourself yet again, our very own room to party at the fiestas? Great job with everything as usual, and wow those crudites are just beautifully crisp and colorful. Love the carrot lollipops :). Why don’t you give up your day job and create in the kitchen? 🙂 Your pictures are just beautiful, so happy and light. You’ll need to give us all some pointers on photography too. Wonderful! 🙂
Thanks so much, Loretta! Yes, this site is for all of us! I hope it’ll become a community-driven site eventually where people can submit their recipes, photos, etc. I just need to learn how to make that happen! Any tech-savvy friends out there?
Photography pointers? You’re kidding, right? Look at YOUR photos!! They keep looking better, I swear. Have you been taking lessons? 🙂
Ha ha Angie, no YOU are kidding. I need a lot of help in that department, and I’m learning that photos and styling, props etc are ever so important, sometimes more than the dish itself :)). I did sign up for WP’s Photography 101 class, but never started as we had those trips back and forth to Canada for my mother in law. Anyway, I’ll say I’ve improved sure, but a long, long way to go. I get inspired by blogs like yours. Happy weekend to you.
I love this new site, Angie! Can’t wait for the party to start!
Thanks, Andrea! Still learning how to do all this!! Can’t understand half the things all those plugins are saying! Any advice on recipe plugin? I can’t find any I like! They all seem too cluttered!
I use Easy Recipe. It works well for me and I like that they feature an image on the side. It’s easy to use and you can customize the font if you want too. I’m not great at the technical portion so I always want something simple. Let me know if you need anything, Angie!
Angie,
I’ve missed you guys. I’ve been too busy saving lives but I keep coming back to see all the gorgeous FF recipes even when I don’t post. I love the new site.
Be well, Tracey
Tracey, you have a super serious job to do. Can’t think of anything more important than saving lives!! We LOVE doctors!! I have an aunt and uncle who are doctors. They’re heroes in my eyes, and you are, too! You come whenever you can spare the time 🙂 I’m so glad you like the new site!
What an exciting update! Thanks for all your hard work in making fiesta friday so ejoyable 🙂
Thanks, ttt!
What a pretty beginning to your new site Angie – very springlike! Yes – today is the first day of Spring. I like it a lot 🙂 I have made a bouquet using cut out cheese made with flower cutters and placed in a clean clay pot.
I thought the bouquet would get everybody into a happy Spring mood, Juju. Remember Spring? Seems so long ago. It says Spring on the calendar but we’ve had nothing but slush, snow, hail all day today! What has gotten into Mother Nature, lol!
Aww, I want to cry, Angie. I am so happy for the new party hall. And I can’t wait for the kitchen as well. Are you planning to put up a candy bar, too? 😀 We love you, Angie. xx
Aww, tears of joy… You’re too sweet! Is that because you like candy so much?
Hmm, I think it’s because I have too much sugar in my blood. Hahaha.
Love your new party hall! Love the crudite bouquet! Can I get just one cucumber! Please pretty please! Oh what fun we shall have in our new home! Kudos to you, Angie!
OUR party hall! It belongs to all of us! I’m planning to make this into a community-driven site. I just need to know how to do it right.
I’m here to party even though my allergies are killing me and my nose is runny! Woohooo tissues for everyone!!! Hahahhahaha
The new site looks charming! I can’t wait to see more! Congrats on the new party room!!
Some customization currently in the works, Natasha. I hope to make our party hall as pretty as possible! Thanks for liking it so far even though it’s pretty bare
Wow, Angie, this is fantastic surprise!
AND I like your lovely veg bouquets, very pretty. 🙂
Thanks, weebirdie! So glad to have your approval!
Looks fab! Love the new site and your beautiful crudité bouquet, how creative!! Have a great party x x
Thanks, Elaine! And don’t forget the dip! I made dip to go with the veggies! I’m trying out dips for that guest post, ahem…
Aha!
Whatever you do it will be brilliant 🙂 x
So excited for the new party venue! 🙂
Thanks, Ili! I’m so glad you like it!
This is awesome, Angie! How wonderful that we now have our own party hall to whoop it up in! You are brilliant! Love your bouquets! Just what I need to be eating after being at an all-inclusive for 7 days!! Yikes! Bring on the veggies and salads!
Thanks, Julianna, but believe me, it had nothing to do with being brilliant! So glad you like the idea. Let’s try to make it as interactive as possible. Any suggestion on how to make that happen is appreciated. I’ve been craving fruits and veggies myself, beats me!
Exciting Angie! And fun that Nancy and Tracy are co-hosting!
Love those vegetable bouquets!
Thanks, Lori! How are you doing, btw? You’ve been busy I hear with all kinds of projects! I need to visit your blog and spend time there!
Love the new site! I can’t wait to party here from now on! I’m helping myself to the veggies and dip right now 🙂 Congrats!
Thanks, Sarah! It still needs a lot of doing. Problem is I’m not in the least bit tech-savvy!
I love the new hangout spot Angie- you take such good care of us at Fiesta Friday, I feel really proud to be able to participate 😀
Jess! Just the person I was looking for! Are you able to co-host FF62? If you are, can you also recommend a partner for yourself?
Hi Angie! I’d love t co-host FF-62- as far as recommending a partner, I’m always game to co-host with Prudy, but anyone else is fine too; Suzanne, Nancy, Julie (Hostess at Heart), Andrea or Bonnie are some suggestions off the top of my head if Prudy’s not available. Thanks for asking me to co-host again 😀
I’ve been away for a while, and what a surprise to come back to this! Well done you.
Hey, Mermaid, where you been?
To London to visit the Queen? No. I was working in house for a couple of months. After a day of paid writing, I’d run out of words for the fun stuff. Now I have a giant backlog of fun stuff to post since I didn’t stop cooking.
That sounds exciting! Being paid to stay home and write? I’d do it!
You’re right – it’s a great life. But this time I had to sit in someone else’s office all day. It’s really exhausting doing what we jokingly call ‘a real job’.
You’re right: it’s a great life. Sadly, this time I had to work in someone else’s office. It’s good to get out, but much more tiring.
Tell me about it! Plus the driving! Today was brutal for me, slush and snow and hail all mixed in.
Slush, snow and hail? Makes me appreciate Australian summers.
My mistake – I just saw what i did there. Working ‘in house’ means working in the office (or house) of the organisation paying you. I think it might be an Australian publishing sector thing. Sorry about that.
Oh, ok, got it, publishing term
Congratulations on the new venue for the party. Can’t wait to get back to the parties once my arm mends, but will certainly be taking notes on this week’s dishes, as always.
As soon as you get back on your feet (I mean arm, haha…) you and Julianna will have to co-host again. Have to, Hilda! So pls let me know!
Looks wonderful and so inviting, Angie. You’re really a great Hostess my dear. The bouquet of vegetables are just gorgeous. Have a wonderful party and weekend 😉
Thanks, Linda! So glad you like the site and the bouquets. Have fun at the party!
Love the new party place. Thanks so much for hosting such a wonderful gathering every week. I greatly appreciate all the time and effort you put in for all of us, hugs:)
Thanks, Lily! So glad you’re happy with Fiesta Friday!
Woohooo, Angie!! You really are the hostess with the mostest!! Thank you for all the awesome things you do and this fabulous place you have created for us! The Danes have a word ‘hygge’ that doesnt translate well, but it is the epitome of cosiness and good times with good food and great company! Sounds familiar, doesnt it xxx
Okay, hygge it is!! That’s what Fiesta Friday is all about! Thanks, Naina. I’m glad you like our new party hall! 😀
I can’t wait to see how you decorate the site Angie, and the kitchen and bar. This has become a wonderful venue for sharing and it will also be fun to see what you do with your own gardening blog.
My fantasy is to actually meet some of your wonderful guests someday. Wouldn’t that be fun?
That WOULD be fun! Hey maybe you can organize something, Liz! The gardening blog will have to wait. Just when I thought Spring had come, yesterday we got 5 inches of snow!! 🙂
Congratulations Angie on moving the party to this new venue. I realized that I could comment here after leaving a comment at your wp blog. The bouquet looks fantastic. You’re the perfect hostess!!
You’re the one who encouraged me to move forward with self-hosting, Apsara, so I have thank YOU! <3
wowwee, so you did it, you went self hosted? This looks fabulous love the crudite, there is a thai at the bottom of the road and what i love about it compared to another local one is the cut out veggies lol, so a big fan. So you mentioned not renting InLinkz anymore, but you still use it? It took me by surprise coming here hehe, looks really fabulous angie, bet your glad you did it? xx
I’ve had this domain for 2 months now but never did anything with it. So it was time. I’m glad I did it, now I don’t have to transfer all those links! I still use Inlinkz since I’ve paid for it annually, but there must be a way to do this ourselves. I need that book HTML for dummies! 😀
lol yes, it is frustrating i would love to have them on the front but not if i have to transfer each time. I believe if you are self hosted tehre is a plug in to do this for you 😀 x
ps i am very excited to see how you decorate etc this site 😀 x
What bouquets of crudités so incredible … You should teach us to take pictures of the recipes , my photos are very inconspicuous , but I try to keep learning.
Congrats on the new site , although not quite understand that yet either through Inlinkz . I’m just some computer-savvy as I use the translator , is quite complicated.
Mariangeles .
Gracias.
I love this new site
Thanks, Jayanthi, so glad to hear! 🙂
Love the new site, Angie!! Your dedication inspires me. <3
Thanks, Patty! Are you still active on WP? I haven’t had time to do much visiting and commenting. So many things to do, help! 😀
I only do monthly posts now, Angie! So many things to do, indeed!
Your veggie bouquets are so pretty, Angie! I always like to do veggie trays when I have people over, and this would be such a fun way to do it. I love your new website for Fiesta Fridays, too!
I did them for a party at my friend’s house and everybody commented how pretty they looked, etc. Plus each piece had a handle 🙂 Very convenient for dipping! Thanks, Shari! The website is a long time coming. I’m glad I went ahead with it. Now I don’t have to transfer those links myself!
