Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow.
So he declared six more weeks of winter.
Oh, Phil, how could you be so wrong?!
It’s Spring already, don’t you see?! It’s been Spring since January!
Okay, I’m exaggerating but we really haven’t seen Old Man Winter that much this year. We’ve been enjoying some warm weather.
Yesterday was in the 70s! Skye and I spent hours in the backyard. Weeding for me. Running around like crazy for her. Good time!
I hope I haven’t jinxed it by complaining about Phil. I really shouldn’t be too hard on him. He’s just a groundhog, after all.
Enjoy the good weather, Fiesta Friday friends!

Easy No-Churn Moscato Ice Cream from Kristin @ Dizzy Busy and Hungry

Leek and Potato Dumpling Stew from Monika @ Everyday Healthy Recipe
“A beautiful presentation by Monika and such a heartwarming healthy dish. I have not made dumplings like this before so it totally had my attention. The freshness of the flavor and inviting colors along with the heartiness of the dumplings make it a perfect meal!” — Zeba
Caribbean Jerk Chicken from Anjana @ Happy & Harried
“I instantly fell in love with this one. I love dishes like this and I love it even more that the jerk marinade is homemade. Oh, Anjana, take me to the Caribbean by feeding me with this scrumptious meal!” — Jhuls
Potato Pancakes with Crispy Bacon from Ted @ Recipe Reminiscing
“Do I really need to say anything here? It’s crispy bacon. On potato pancakes. I like it that the pancakes are baked instead of fried. And that the bacon is rolled up. Pretty nifty!” — Angie

Hold on to your horses Angie! It was almost 70 here on Wednesday and we have high winds and up to 4 inches of snow falling on us as we speak. I hope that takes care of my weeds!
I know! I spoke too soon. They’re predicting thunderstorms and then temps will dip. I’m trying to enjoy the nice weather to the very last minute! ?
Enjoy being outside with little Skye, Bob absolutely loves spring and summer, he’s such an outside boy x
Problem is Skye loves to use the lawn as a back scratcher. Then I feel like I need to give her a bath and she hates bath. It’s a vicious cycle! But I want her to be happy, so the cycle continues ?
??
Right, what is up with Phil this year? It looks like spring might be here to stay. Everything looks delicious! Have a wonderful weekend and Happy Fiesta Friday!
Turns out Phil is not such a great prognosticator, he’s been wrong more times than right! Maybe they should have asked a bird instead. But Phil is definitely cuter ? Have a great weekend! ?
Hi Angie! Thank you so much for featuring my leek and dumpling stew! Hurricane Doris must have been kind to you if it’s so mild on your side of the ocean, it came to us here in the UK yesterday and let me tell you, it wasn’t spring weather:(
Poor you! I hope it’ll let up over there. But you know, Feb is a short month and before you know it, Spring really will be here ? Your potato dumpling stew looks terrific. I really love the sound of it!
It’s been funny here having thinner layers but still snow around! But definitely nice to be warmer and sunny! Enjoy your time outside with Skye.
They’re predicting thunderstorms and then lower temps by next week. I hope they’re wrong! ? Let me know if you feel like cohosting.
I was not expecting the spring-like weather yesterday and sent my son to school in his winter coat. Yup, I’m that mom lol. It was lovely though. Anyways, have a fantastic weekend!
Lol ? He probably took it off at school. Some kids were still in their Ugg boots this morning. So you weren’t the only mom caught unprepared. Lily, would you be interested in cohosting one of these days?
Great to hear you’re outside enjoying the warm weather with Skye Angie, it’s a bit chilly here in the UK but we do have signs of spring in the garden. A delicious round up this week, love the sound of that Jerk Chicken, just the thing to warm me up.
I think the cold weather is moving in again, though, but hopefully it won’t stay long. Oh well, it is winter after all. Mustn’t complain too much ? Btw, have you cohosted Fiesta Friday before? Would you like to give it a try?
I haven’t Angie and I was thinking about when I read your post but was a bit apprehensive, maybe nervous about getting it right. Maybe it’s time for me to have a go 🙂 Can I do the week after? It will give me time check out the linky thing and finish my first giveaway I’ve got going at the moment.
Oops, forgot to say thanks for thinking of me Angie 🙂
My pleasure, Sarah! So I’m going to put you down for March 10, Fiesta Friday #162. Does that work for you?
Thanks Angie, March 10th, Fiesta Friday #162 is good for me. Would be lovely if you could email the details 🙂
Of course! What’s your email address?
Hi Angie, here’s my email – talesfromthekitchenshed@gmail.com
Look forward to hearing from you, working on a recipe for next week’s Fiesta party x
Just sent you the cohosting guidelines. Have fun working on the recipe! ?
Enjoy it while it lasts – we are battered by storms here in Europe … Happy Fiesta Friday!
I think the storms are coming our way, sigh… When can you cohost?
Hmmm. It’s prime marking season here, at least for the next 3-4 weeks. But come April, it that’s not too late…?
That’s fine! I just need to do some arm-twisting around here to get March covered. Who shall be my victims? ?
Oh that is not fair at all! We had so much snow this winter and this morning we woke up to a new batch! Make it go away!!
If it’ll make you feel better, they’re forecasting 100% chance of a thunderstorm for our area tomorrow and then temp will go down to 40s. Boohoo! I’ll take snow over rain ?
Great selection as always! Love the dumpling stew. I’m also happy to co-host next week or the week after if that helps!?
Great, you can take next week! Thanks so much, Laura! ?
Fantastic Angie – would you mind emailing me a reminder on the logistics as it’s been a while!? Do I have a co-host?
Sure, will do. Haven’t found a cohost for you. Hopefully someone will volunteer. If not, I’ll do some arm-twisting ?
70s? We’re in the 40s here (low 30s at night). I’m ready for warm spring weathers already?
Happy Fiesta Friday! Enjoy the great weather with Skye✨
I spoke too soon. It’s now in the 40s. And I was freezing last night after complaining about being hot in the afternoon. Crazy weather! Hopefully it’ll start to settle down soon. Have a great week, Ai! Let me know when you can cohost again! ?
I am enjoying the windy, gloomy day, Angie. I just couldn’t get lovely photos. Mr. Sun didn’t tell me what time he’ll be out so I take photos for my blog even when he’s not showing his beautiful face. And when I am done with the photos and eaten already, here he comes. Oh, well…
I am glad that you and Skye had fun. Have a lovely weekend, Angie. Thanks as always for the party.??
Gloomy?! I thought it’s always sunny there in the Philippines ? So I guess global climate change is real ? Have a great week, Jhuls!
Loving the thunderstorms with the windows open here in Virginia. I am sure I won’t love it so much when the temperature drops tonight 🙁
It’s now in the low 40s here! Last night was practically freezing! Crazy weather! ?
Yes it froze ? I had tuned the heat off yesterday so woke up freezing?
