Fiesta Friday #586

My husband and I made it to the UK this week, after all. We’ve been primarily staying in Salisbury, which is very close to Stonehenge.

We visited this area over a decade ago but didn’t stay long and foolishly (or not) concentrated on Stonehenge. Consequently, we missed seeing the Salisbury Cathedral, but we visited it this time.

Salisbury Cathedral | FiestaFriday.net

The Cathedral houses one of the 4 remaining copies of the original Magna Carta of 1215, which we wanted to see. No photographs were allowed, however, so you will have to go there to see it, folks. Or just google it 😂

We also took a little excursion to Bath for what else, Bath buns. Unfortunately on the day we went, most places were closed on account of the bank holiday. Silly us for not checking ahead.

As a consolation, we stopped by the Jane Austen House in Chawton, instead.

Today, we’re heading back to London before returning home. I need to spend a day at Harrods to pick up all the things that family and friends have requested.

We’ve been gone for less than a week but already I miss my furball Skye so much. Everywhere I go I’m reminded of her.

Can’t wait to see her! And my human kids, of course!

Okay, guys, I’ll share all the food pictures next time!

Now, let our eyes feast on these!

Orange Dandelion Cake

“Orange and dandelion? What a unique combination!” — Jhuls

“Excellent! Maybe now I can convince the husband to not dig out the dandelions in the lawn anymore.” — Angie

Strawberry Basil Lemonade

“Such a creative take on lemonade!” — Jhuls

“In just a few more weeks, my garden will produce (hopefully) more basil and strawberries than I know what to do with. Lemonade may be the best and easiest answer.” — Angie

Sourdough Peanut Butter Cookies

“This sounds like an irresistible combo!” — Jhuls

Tofu Kale Salad

“This is my kind of salad, sounds delish!” — Angie

Who’s ready for Cinco de Mayo?! I am! 🙋🏻‍♀️ May I suggest celebrating it with this Pineapple Margarita Chicken Quesadilla? You gotta make that Pineapple Margarita first, though. Coz that’s the marinade for the chicken! As if I need to twist any arms. 🤣 The more margarita, the merrier, says people everywhere. 🍸🥳 Link in bio!
