It’s been unusually warm this week, it went up into the 80s on Wednesday. It’s also been very dry; I don’t think it has rained in over a month, and when it did, it was only a drizzle. Droughts are quite rare in New Jersey, especially ones this severe.
A lot of dry leaves and thatch are accumulating on the lawn, so after work, I spend my time outside cleaning, raking, and watering. It’s quite a workout!
So lunch is a simple affair.
I find guacamole toasts to be the easiest and most satisfying meal for a quick lunch. Many times I have them plain, but sometimes I have them topped with eggs or smoked salmon. And I always, always add fresh herbs and edible flowers from the garden to make them more appealing. This is why you have a garden and grow things!

I love avocado toast, too! There are so many ways to make it and it’s a wonderful option for breakfast or lunch! We even did an “Avocado Toast Charcuterie Board” at a recent Girl’s Weekend and it was a hit! Thanks for hosting us all!

hi Angie
Warmer weather? It is so utterly grey and every day this week comes with a grey and icy cold sea mist! Enjoy! And I love a good sandwich and avocado is always a treat.
Thank you for the feature, it made my day!

Well now it’s turned quite cold and grey, too, over here. But not too bad considering it’s close to mid November. I love your saag aloo! I’ve never made it, sounds tasty!

Thank you, Angie, for the feature. 🙂 As usual, there are many great recipes here that are a feast for the eyes. Wishing you a beautiful weekend, Mariama.

I’m fascinated by mushrooms and I admire people who can forage for them with confidence. I wish I can do the same, but too many of them look similar. Maybe I should take a class.

It’s quite cool here! I love popping in here for the party. I always find such inspiring ideas and recipes. I brought MELTING POTATOES, RED CHICKEN CHILI and NAVY BEAN & HAM SOUP. I hope you have a FANTASTIC week.
