Did you all have a great Halloween? I hope you did!
Mine was busy, but it wasn’t too bad, considering. My husband was sick, so I had to manage Skye and dole out candy by myself.
Luckily, Skye was relatively calm, and there weren’t too many trick-or-treaters this year— I’m guessing around 50, which is pretty low for our development of 300+ houses.
Dinner wasn’t too bad, either.
Instead of opting for the usual pizza delivery, I decided to serve the contents of my fridge 😂 It wasn’t dinner, dinner… but more like an indoor picnic or a grazing table or platter. No cooking was involved! Don’t you just love that?
Now, onto the question of the day: What should I do with all the leftover Halloween candy and treats? Why do we always end up buying too much?

Hi, Angie; I love your Halloween menu: “Contents of my fridge” LOL, a pretty well stocked fridge, I would add. We had a new all-time low of trick-or treaters … ONE! Thank you for hosting another great fiesta, I am sharing #2 Black Bread for the Day of the Dead. Enjoy your weekend!

Most days my fridge is stocked because I never really know what I want to make or eat ahead of time. I don’t enjoy going to the store multiple times . I can live with one trick-or-treater 😂

My kind of dinner! and 50 tick or treaters? We had not a single one! Apparently there is a sign you are supposed to put out and I had no idea what it was! I will find out for next year.
Thank you for hosting us again! x

I think we actually had more than 50 judging from what’s left, and that’s actually on the low side. We were prepared for more kids. The normal count is 80 – 100 but the trend has been going down since some kids have grown up. Over here if the porch light is off it means the house is not giving out candy.
