Today is one of those Fridays when I don’t have anything particularly exciting to share with you. Nothing dramatic has happened, everything is okay and life feels pretty much hunky-dory. In other words, it’s a bit boring and mundane.
However, I did get poison ivy. Is it called an infection or poisoning? It doesn’t matter but I ended up with the rash without any idea of how it happened. I can’t even think of what I might have touched in the garden that could have come into contact with it. So, it remains a mystery how I got the infect-poison.
Right now, that’s about the only “exciting” thing happening in my life.
Unless you count trying out vegan restaurants as exciting. That’s what we did when my daughter was home – we went on vegan adventures, exploring new places together.
And we did find one that’s a keeper. The place is called Unit Su Vege and I would rate it overall 4.5 out of 5 stars. Except for their BBQ Vegetarian Roast Meat and Roasted Vegetable Duck Peking Style – they deserve 5 out of 5 stars!
That’s the leftover Peking Style “Duck” I brought home, added a few of my own garnishes, and served the next day as a snack. Seriously, if all vegan food is that good, I can maybe follow in my daughter’s footsteps and forego meat. Okay, maybe for one or two days a week 😁
And Now, Some Exciting Stuff!

Thanks for another fun party! Your thinking is somewhat like mine. I like steak, prime rib & lamb ~ otherwise I tend to order tofu or vegetarian at restaurants. (I’m one of those people who actually like tofu!) What I don’t like is artificial “meat” ~ I like plain, pure vegetarian or vegan without stuff that has lots of artificial ingredients trying to make it taste like something it isn’t. ** Catch you again next week!

I like tofu, too! And I’m with you on artificial ingredients but I do enjoy Impossible and Beyond burgers, too. I should find out what goes into those XO
