It’s candy apple-making time!
Isn’t fall the most glorious of all seasons? Of course, I would say the same thing when spring comes around but as of now, I’m enjoying the cooler weather and the leaves slowly changing colors.
Aaand… best of all, apples are at their freshest right now. That means no mushy or soft apples! They’re the worst!
My favorite apple variety used to be Fuji, then Honeycrisp, then Cosmic Crisp. But currently, I’m Jazz-obsessed!
Jazz apples are the crispiest and the most dense of all apples! The shape is rather strange. They’re elongated – more tall than they’re wide. Look how they compare to other varieties. Definitely different!
They have the perfect apple flavor. Fruity and juicy with equal amounts of tartness and sweetness. That’s what good apples should taste like!
After making candy apples, I will move on to muffins and pies. And of course, scones. Apple scones for breakfast would make waking up early that much easier!
Now It’s Time for Features
“Rocky Road is my favorite flavor combo! Gotta make these soon!” — Jhuls
“I never thought to use carrot tops! This is so clever!” — Jhuls
“There’s something very appealing about the look of this soup. Maybe because it reminds me of pho noodle soup, one of my favorite soups ever. I need to try this ASAP!” — Angie
“So, every year on Halloween I always order pizza for dinner, just to make things easier for myself. What with doling out candy to the trick-or-treaters and keeping an eye on Skye to make sure she doesn’t get spooked and run out the door, cooking is out of the question. But maybe this year I’ll try to be more enterprising and elevate our Halloween dinner with this. Seems easy enough to make, and will definitely be fun to eat!” — Angie
