My summer break is over. I went back to work on Wednesday š©
The break felt really short this year. The first part of the break was spent preparing for my trip and the last recovering from it š¬ Except for the trip, was there really a break at all? š
It’s times like this that I entertain the thought of retiring early. But I have to keep earning because I may need to buy a new car⦠a vacation home⦠or half a vacation home. At the rate I’m earning, I may have enough to buy one of those tiny homes by the time I retire.
I wouldn’t mind⦠as long as itās on a beach š
Anyway, to ācelebrateā the start of the new school year, I went to the Southeast Asian Market in Philadelphia. It was also my way of extending my Asian trip.
We sampled Laotian BBQ, and papaya salad from this charming vendor.
I love her gigantic mortar and pestle!
My husband and I plan on going again this weekend because the food was very good and there were many interesting offerings there we didn’t try. Plus I didn’t take as many food pictures as I would have liked. And everything was⦠I don’t want to be rude but everything was cheap! Thatās not something you see a lot of these days.
