Fiesta Friday #540

Father’s Day is next week and I have to brace myself for the annual garbage-meal day 😂

That’s what the kids and I, jokingly and lovingly, call my husband’s choice of Father’s Day dinner because almost always he would opt for an all-you-can-eat buffet meal.

It used to be Old Country Buffet or Golden Corral but since neither restaurant in our area survived the Covid pandemic, we will have to travel at least 45 minutes to go to the nearest one.

So he’s been threatening he wants to try out a somewhat new Chinese/Japanese buffet not too far from where we live, uh oh…

Don’t get me wrong, there’s good eating to be had at these establishments. I just don’t like the fact that you’re bound to overeat in these places.

But that’s precisely the reason my husband likes them. And not even enticing him with his favorite home-cooked dishes can persuade him to abandon the idea.

Paella | FiestaFriday.net

Paella used to be his special request but I guess a buffet is more exciting these days.

Lobster Rolls | FiestaFriday.net

And I didn’t think he would pass on lobster rolls but he will this year.

Oh, well… it could have been worse… he could have been asking for a Michelin-star meal and that would have bankrupted me and the kids.

Now It’s Time To Fiesta, starting with these!

Chicken Tikka Pasty (Gluten Free)

The Mighty King Oyster Mushroom

Ultimate Crab Rangoon Pizza

No Churn Banana Pudding Ice Cream

Who’s ready for Cinco de Mayo?! I am! 🙋🏻‍♀️ May I suggest celebrating it with this Pineapple Margarita Chicken Quesadilla? You gotta make that Pineapple Margarita first, though. Coz that’s the marinade for the chicken! As if I need to twist any arms. 🤣 The more margarita, the merrier, says people everywhere. 🍸🥳 Link in bio!
