Fiesta Friday #526

It’s officially March so it’s time to indulge in everything green… oh yeah!!

My past self would have thought of Shamrock Shake, but my present self is presently addicted to the Green Passion Smoothie from Panera. It is my utmost favorite smoothie, drink, and indulgence all rolled into one!

And is it really indulgence when it’s made out of healthy ingredients? I looked it up and it consists of peach and mango purees, white grape and passionfruit juice concentrates, spinach, and ice. No sugar or syrup, apparently. I hope Panera is transparent about other less-healthy ingredients in it, if there’s any, since I’ve been guzzling so much of it.

If I want to have it whenever the mood strikes, though, I should learn to make it myself. And so I did.

It doesn’t taste quite the same because I didn’t use fruit purees. I used fruit nectars, instead; that’s what I have. The ones with less sugar, besides. But we’re squabbling here. It’s almost as good, honestly.

That’s my green indulgence of the moment… what’s yours?

Now take a look at these!

Delicious Ham with Celeriac Puree

Loaded Baked Potato Bites

Unstuffed Cabbage Casserole
