I’ve had such a whirlwind couple of weeks, with all the traveling… and going places… and partying… and eating. It was exhausting!
Maybe that’s why I didn’t feel like leaving my hotel room in Las Vegas. That was the first time I felt that way about a hotel. It was the last leg of our trip, and I just wanted to stay in bed.
Also because that room was nothing like any other hotel room I was ever in. The bathroom alone was the size of my kitchen, dining room, and living room combined! It was huge!
But I’m glad to be back home because I missed Skye so much. She couldn’t contain her excitement when she saw us. It was so sweet to see her dancing and barking while circling us. This was the longest time we had left her and we were worried she might have forgotten us. Apparently she didn’t. What a relief.
And now, of course, I’m nursing a cold. Probably the result of exhaustion. Plus all the rains. Please, somebody, bring back the sun!
Will you all be my sunshine this week? Join our fiesta and let the fun begins!

Thanks for hosting! I brought by some Spanish Okra. Happy New Year! 🙂
Angie says
My family usually tries to avoid okra, but I like it, as long as it’s not too slimy. Spanish okra sounds delicious! Maybe I can finally turn my family into okra fans ? Thanks for linking up, Cj!

Happy New Year, Petra! It was agonizing to leave Skye behind. We felt so guilty and she did not take it well at all when we left her, but then gradually she settled in and started having fun at the sitter’s house! At least now we know she can survive without us for 2 weeks, lol.
