Uhm… Marmite, yes or no? My vegan daughter likes it well enough and sometimes has it with toast.
I, however, was a no until recently. And that’s thanks to Marks & Spencer’s food hall, my favorite afternoon haunt in the UK.
They sell these Marmite and cheese pinwheels that I thought tasted pretty good.
I decided to make a vegan version to share with my daughter, and I think they turned out even better than the original from Marks & Spencer!

What else can I create with Marmite? Any ideas?

I don’t know what marmite is, sorry. Thanks for the party.
It’s a savory spread from the UK, though I think I may have seen it sold here, probably in a specialty store. It’s really thick and salty, not something I would normally reach for. But used here to flavor these vegan cheese & nuts pinwheels, it adds depth and umami-ness, like anchovies or Worcestershire sauce would to a recipe.
Hi, Angie; those vegan rolls look yummy! Thank you for featuring my Chicharrones Preparados, and for hosting another great Fiesta Friday. This week I am sharing #62 Pastel de Tres Leches for Mother’s Day. have an awesome week!
