I love beans and pulses and will try your vegan burgers! They look amazing, such cute horror burgers! πŸ™‚ x

I can vouch for these, Petra! As you know, vegan burgers can be a hit or a miss, mostly a miss for me with the ones I get from the grocery stores. Just make sure you don’t overcook the beans, and drain them well. Thanks, girlfriend! 😘

Anyway, I am so very much impressed, Angie! You made vegan burgers for Halloween! I am not sure if I am afraid of the look of the burger or coz it is vegan!πŸ˜‚ I think we both know the answer! Good job, Angie! I could almost imagine your husband’s reaction, but I know why he wants to eat this again coz they are insanely vegan scary and delicious!😜 Thanks for sharing, Angie. Enjoy your Halloween!πŸ‘»

There was a little technical issue; my slippery fingers and tired and sleepy brain acting on their own and hit publish when I wasn’t ready. I tried to put it back into draft, but it didn’t work. You probably tried to comment exactly around the time I was fudging with the post. Anyway, here you are πŸ˜„ Thanks, Jhuls! This one is a keeper. My daughter really likes it!

Fabulous post Angie! I love making veggie burgers like these with different flavor combinations. You have taken it one step further and made them vegan too!
I have used cooked quinoa in my burgers. What has been your experience with quinoa instead of say brown rice?

    • Angie says:

Because quinoa is actually a seed, and not a grain, I find that it doesn’t bind as well as rice. It lacks the gumminess/stickiness, so when I use quinoa I usually have to add flour or oatmeal and eggs to prevent the patties from falling apart. In meat burgers, though, quinoa would absolutely work! Thanks, Sandhya, I’m glad you like the vegan burgers πŸ˜„

  8. Wow Angie – very impressive and lovely photos too. Who needs hamburgers when veggie burgers can look and taste this good!
